If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Good luck with your claim! The process seems overwhelming at first but once you get through the initial application it becomes pretty routine with the weekly filings.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice! I feel much more confident about getting started now.

You're welcome! Don't hesitate to come back if you run into any issues during the process.

Just remember that the most important thing is to file your claim as soon as possible and then stay on top of your weekly claims. The system isn't perfect but it does work if you follow the rules.

Definitely going to start the application today. Thanks again everyone!

You got this! The first application is always the hardest part.

The whole system needs an overhaul to be more user-friendly. Until then, we're all just figuring it out as we go and helping each other when we can.

Appreciate everyone's help with this! Makes the whole process feel less overwhelming.

Does anyone know if working part-time while collecting unemployment affects your benefits? I might want to pick up some freelance work to supplement the income.

0 coins

You can work part-time and still collect partial unemployment benefits, but you have to report all earnings on your weekly claims. Washington ESD will reduce your benefits based on how much you earn.

0 coins

The general rule is they reduce your benefit dollar-for-dollar once you earn more than about $200 in a week, but it's worth checking the exact thresholds.

0 coins

I went through this exact situation 6 months ago. The benefit calculation seemed fair based on my previous earnings, but the real challenge was navigating all the requirements and getting answers when I had questions. Having a reliable way to contact Washington ESD makes a huge difference in the whole process.

What was the hardest part of the process for you?

0 coins

Honestly, just getting someone on the phone when I needed clarification about job search requirements. The automated system and website only go so far when you have specific questions about your situation.

0 coins

For what it's worth, even though you missed out on those first few months, unemployment benefits can really help while you're job searching. Don't beat yourself up too much about the timing.

0 coins

Thanks, I needed to hear that. I've been pretty hard on myself about waiting so long.

We all make mistakes. The important thing is you're taking action now.

0 coins

Final reminder for anyone still reading - the deadline to file is one year from when you became unemployed, but you lose benefits for every week you wait. File immediately when you lose your job, not months later like some of us learned the hard way.

This thread has been super helpful. Thanks everyone for the advice and reality check.

Hope this helps other people avoid the same mistake. File early, file often!

This whole situation is exactly why I tell everyone to keep their own records of everything. Pay stubs, work schedules, everything. You never know when you'll need to prove your employment history.

0 coins

Definitely a lesson learned. I'm going to be much more careful about documentation going forward.

Hope it works out for you. The restaurant industry is notorious for this kind of thing. Maybe once you're back on your feet you can look for employers who do things properly.

0 coins

That's definitely the plan. I want to work somewhere that follows the law and treats employees fairly.

there are good restaurants out there that do everything by the book, just gotta find them
