i won my appeal in december and STILL havent got paid!!! ive called like 20 times and every rep tells me something different. one says "its processing" another says "theres another issue on your claim" and another says "looks good should be any day now" for TWO MONTHS!!! the whole system is broken and they dont care about us at all
Oh no, that's awful! Have you tried contacting your state representative? I've heard they can sometimes help push things along when you're stuck in ESD limbo for that long.
One thing to note: If your appeal victory was based on a "procedural" issue rather than a direct finding about your eligibility, ESD might still need to complete their fact-finding process before issuing payment. For example, if the judge overturned ESD's decision because they missed deadlines or didn't properly notify you, ESD might still need to investigate your actual eligibility before paying benefits. Based on your description that "the employer didn't provide sufficient evidence," it sounds like a substantive ruling in your favor, which is good news for faster payment. Just be aware that the online status may not update immediately even when processing is underway.
My sister filed in February and hers was pending for 4 days then switched to processing for another week before being approved. She said the most important thing was to keep filing weekly claims even while waiting for the initial approval. ESD can backpay those weeks once your claim is approved but ONLY if you filed claims for them! Don't miss any weeks thinking "what's the point" - you'll regret it later.
Update: I called ESD this morning using that Claimyr service someone mentioned, and I got through to an agent in about 20 minutes! Turns out there was a discrepancy between the dates I put on my application and what my employer reported. The agent fixed it right on the call and said my claim should move from Pending to Processing within 48 hours. Just wanted to update in case anyone else has a similar issue. Don't wait too long to check if something seems stuck!
Have you tried contacting your state representative? When my husband's claim was stuck for over a month, I emailed our state rep's office and they actually helped escalate the issue. Had it resolved within a week after that. Just a thought!
UPDATE: I finally got through this morning! For anyone else struggling, here's what worked: I followed the advice to call right at 8:00am, but I also used a different phone than I had been using previously. Not sure if that made a difference, but I finally got into the queue instead of getting disconnected. Waited on hold for 47 minutes but eventually spoke with an agent who was actually very helpful. Turns out there was an issue with my ID verification that needed to be resolved. They're expediting my claim now and said I should see movement in the next 2-3 business days. Thank you everyone for the advice and support!
I can't believe ESD is STILL doing this in 2025! This exact same thing happened to thousands of people back in 2022-2023 after the pandemic benefits ended. You'd think they would have fixed their system by now. But no, still sending out incorrect tax forms and causing massive headaches for people. This is why nobody trusts government agencies to do anything right. 🤦♀️
Just checking back - were you able to get through to ESD about the corrected 1099-G? Any progress on your situation?
I tried calling every day this week but couldn't get through - always get the "high call volume" message and then it hangs up. I did submit a message through eServices yesterday, but no response yet. Starting to get worried about tax filing deadlines...
That's exactly why I ended up using Claimyr - the regular phone lines are impossible this time of year. If you're running up against tax deadlines, it might be worth trying. Whatever you do, don't just file with the incorrect 1099-G information - that will cause bigger headaches later.

One final clarification that might help you breathe easier: If your employer formally withdrew their appeal through the proper channels (not just told you they would), then ESD's system will update to show this status change. You can verify this in your eServices account under the "Decisions" or "Determinations" section. Regarding quality assurance reviews: ESD typically notifies claimants by mail/eServices if they're conducting a review, and you'd be given an opportunity to provide information. They don't typically just stop payments without notification unless there's suspected fraud. As for timeframes on how long these reviews take - it varies widely depending on their current workload, but usually 2-4 weeks. The pandemic created unusual backlogs, but processing times have improved significantly in 2025.

•I just checked my eServices and under the Decisions section it does show "Appeal Withdrawn" status, so that confirms what you're saying. That's a relief! And thanks for the info about QA reviews - I'll keep an eye on my mail and eServices messages just in case.

my situation was kinda different but related... my employer didn't appeal at first but then tried to after the deadline and ESD rejected it as "untimely" lol. but then they still tried going to OAH and eventually lost there too. the whole process took like 4 months and i was stressed the entire time! even if your employer withdrew just document EVERYTHING just in case
