If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Here's the official formula if anyone wants the exact calculation: Weekly Benefit Amount = (Total wages in two highest quarters ÷ 52) × 0.0385. But it can't be less than $295 or more than $999 per week for 2025.

Thanks for the exact formula! That's really helpful for calculating ahead of time.

Bottom line - start with expecting about 45% of your weekly gross pay and go from there. The exact amount depends on your specific wage history but thats a good ballpark for budgeting purposes.

0 coins

Perfect, 45% gives me a good starting point for planning. Really appreciate everyone's help with this!

The waiting is the worst part honestly. I remember being so anxious about my first payment too. But once it starts coming it's pretty reliable.

Thanks for the encouragement. It's just stressful when you have bills due and no other income coming in.

totally get it, i was in the same situation. hang in there!

UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know my payment hit my account this morning! So it was exactly 3 business days after the 'Payment Issued' date showed up in my Washington ESD account. Thanks everyone for the help and reassurance.

Lucky you! Still waiting on mine but this gives me hope it'll come soon.

Awesome! Always nice to hear success stories on here.

Final thought - when you do talk to Washington ESD (whether through Claimyr or however you manage to get through), ask specifically about the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs. They have funding for training and support services that could help bridge the gap while you're looking for work.

0 coins

I'll add that to my list of questions. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions and support. At least I have a plan now instead of just panicking.

glad you're feeling more confident about next steps. this thread has been helpful for me too since i'm in a similar situation. good luck to everyone dealing with this

Good luck to you too! At least we know we're not alone in this.

Just remember you're still technically unemployed even if you're doing gig work. You have to remain able and available for full-time employment. If Washington ESD thinks you're too busy with DoorDash to take a regular job, that could be an issue.

0 coins

How would they even know how much time you're spending on it though?

0 coins

They can see your reported hours and earnings. If you're consistently working 40+ hours a week doing deliveries, that might raise red flags.

0 coins

Bottom line: yes you can do DoorDash while on unemployment but you MUST report all earnings and hours worked. Don't try to hide it or you'll end up with overpayment issues that are way worse than just having your benefits reduced.

Thanks everyone, this has been super helpful. I think I'll start small and see how it goes.

0 coins

Good luck! Just stay organized with your record keeping and you should be fine.

I wish they made this information clearer on the Washington ESD website. It's all scattered around and hard to understand.

0 coins

Agreed! The eligibility requirements should be in one clear place instead of buried in different sections.

0 coins

At least they have the benefit calculator tool. That helped me figure out if I qualified before filing.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info. I feel much more confident about understanding the work requirements now. Hopefully I won't need to file a claim, but at least I know I'd probably qualify if something happens.

Good luck with your new job! Even knowing you have that safety net can reduce stress.

Exactly! This thread has been super helpful for understanding how it all works.
