If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

  • DO post questions about your issues.
  • DO answer questions and support each other.
  • DO post tips & tricks to help folks.
  • DO NOT post call problems here - there is a support tab at the top for that :)

One more thing - keep detailed records of everything. Doctor visits, communications with Washington ESD, job search activities once you're cleared. Documentation is key if any issues come up later.

Great advice. I'll start keeping a folder with all the paperwork right away.

Smart move. Organization saves so much hassle when dealing with government agencies.

Just to summarize for OP: File your claim now, be honest about work restrictions, get medical documentation, and start weekly claims once you're medically cleared. The key is transparency with Washington ESD throughout the process.

Perfect summary, thank you! This gives me a clear roadmap for moving forward.

Good luck with everything! Keep us posted on how it goes.

Just to add one more resource - if you need help getting through to Washington ESD to ask questions about your appeal, that Claimyr service really does work. I tried it when I was going crazy trying to reach someone and got a callback the same day.

0 coins

I might try that if I can't get the information I need from the documents. Thanks for the suggestion!

Wishing you the best with your appeal! The waiting is the worst part but hang in there. Most people with legitimate cases do win eventually.

Thank you! I really appreciate all the support and advice from everyone here.

If anyone needs help reaching Washington ESD for specific questions about benefit duration or anything else, I had good luck with Claimyr. They saved me literally hours of trying to get through busy signals and disconnections. Worth checking out their demo video to see if it might help with your situation.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm convinced I need to try it - the regular phone system is just impossible.

0 coins

Agreed, the Washington ESD phone system is beyond frustrating. Anything that helps people actually get through to agents is valuable.

Just to summarize for the OP: 26 weeks maximum for regular UI benefits in Washington, calculated from your first eligible week (not your filing date), and you must continue meeting all requirements including job search and weekly claim filing. Check your online account for exact dates and remaining weeks.

Perfect summary, thank you! This thread has been incredibly helpful. I feel much more informed about my situation now.

This is why I love this forum - so much helpful information from people who've been through it.

One last thing - people who lose jobs due to company closures or mass layoffs are definitely affected, and there might be additional resources available through WorkSource for job retraining and placement services.

I'll make sure to mention WorkSource to her too. Sounds like there are multiple support systems available.

0 coins

WorkSource is great for job search assistance and they work closely with the UI system.

Bottom line: if you worked for an employer, paid into the system through payroll taxes, and lost your job through no fault of your own, you're likely affected by unemployment benefits in a positive way. The system is designed to help people during transitions between jobs.

Perfect summary. I think my sister should definitely apply based on everything discussed here.

0 coins

Agreed. Better to apply and find out than to assume you don't qualify and miss out on benefits you earned.

0 coins

Just remember that even if you qualify for benefits, you still need to meet the ongoing requirements like job search activities and filing weekly claims. The work requirement is just the first hurdle.

0 coins

Good point. I should probably research those requirements too once I figure out if I qualify.

0 coins

Yeah, the ongoing requirements are a whole different set of rules. But first things first - see if you meet the initial work requirements.

Hope this thread helps clear things up for you! The quarterly earnings system takes some getting used to but it's not as complicated as it first seems.

0 coins

It definitely helps! I feel like I understand the requirements much better now. Going to check my wage history and see if I qualify.

Good luck! Feel free to come back and let us know how it goes.
