Last thing - if they ask about factors contributing to unemployment in your industry or region, don't worry if you don't know everything. They're not testing your economic knowledge. Just share what you know about your specific situation and company.
Update us after your interview! Would be helpful to know what they actually asked so others can prepare for similar situations.
Good luck! And remember if you need to reach Washington ESD again for any reason, that Claimyr service is there as an option.
Another success story for Claimyr here - used them when my claim got stuck in adjudication and needed to speak with someone about documentation I had submitted. The agent was able to review my file immediately and explain exactly what was happening. Saved me weeks of waiting and wondering.
Bottom line - unemployment rates were much higher 4 years ago but your individual claim is evaluated the same way now as it was then. Focus on meeting the basic requirements rather than worrying about overall economic conditions.
Also check if your state has any additional pregnancy-related support programs. Washington has some good family support services that might help supplement your unemployment benefits.
Good luck with your claim! The process can be confusing but don't give up. You have rights and protections, even while pregnant. Keep all your documentation and don't hesitate to ask for help if you get stuck.

The 26-week thing is pretty standard across most states. What varies is the weekly amount and total you can collect based on your previous earnings. Washington actually has pretty decent benefits compared to some other states.

•That's somewhat reassuring. I was worried Washington might be stingier than other places.

•Yeah the maximum weekly benefit in Washington is like $999 which is way higher than states like Florida or Arizona.

Just remember that once your benefit year expires (52 weeks from when you first filed), you'd have to file a new claim if you're still unemployed. But you'd need to have worked and earned wages since your last claim to qualify for a new benefit year.

•So if I'm still unemployed after a year, I can't just keep collecting on the same claim?

•Correct. You'd need to have worked and earned sufficient wages to establish a new claim. Otherwise your unemployment benefits would be exhausted.
