If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Just wanted to update - I tried Claimyr this morning after reading about it here and got connected to a Washington ESD agent in about 10 minutes. They fixed my certification problem immediately and I was able to file my weekly claim. Definitely recommend it if you're stuck.

Wow, that's a great success story! I'm definitely going to check out that video demo link someone posted earlier.

So glad to hear it worked for you too! It's really a game-changer when you need to reach Washington ESD quickly.

Don't forget you can also try calling the Washington ESD customer service line early in the morning right when they open. Sometimes you can get through before the lines get too busy.

0 coins

What time do they open? I've tried calling before but never got through.

0 coins

I think it's 8 AM but honestly I've never gotten through either. That's why these alternative methods people are suggesting sound so appealing.

Just remember that your first payment might be delayed by the one-week waiting period, so don't panic if you don't get paid for the first week you're eligible. That's normal for Washington unemployment claims.

0 coins

Wait, so there's a whole week where you don't get paid even if you're approved?

0 coins

Correct, it's called the waiting week. You serve it but don't get paid for it. It's the first week you're otherwise eligible for benefits.

To wrap up the calculation discussion - the key factors are: 1) Your highest quarter earnings in the base period, 2) The current max/min benefit amounts ($999/$295 for 2025), and 3) The 50% replacement rate formula. Most people earning $50-60k annually will fall somewhere in the $400-650 weekly range.

Perfect summary! This thread has been incredibly helpful. I feel ready to file my claim now.

good luck with your claim! hope it goes smoothly for you

Washington ESD is so backed up right now. I filed 3 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything back about my claim. Even when you qualify, actually getting benefits can take forever.

0 coins

That's exactly why I used Claimyr when my claim got stuck. Being able to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD about what was happening with my case was a huge relief.

0 coins

I should have known about that earlier. Now I'm just waiting and stressing about bills.

Thanks everyone for all the advice. Sounds like I need to be really careful about how I handle this situation. Going to document everything and maybe talk to HR first before making any big decisions.

0 coins

Smart approach. Remember you can always apply for UI benefits later if the situation doesn't improve, but you want to do it from the strongest position possible.

Good luck! Feel free to ask if you have more questions about the process. It's complicated but understanding the rules helps you make better decisions.

This thread has been super helpful! I'm about to file for unemployment and was worried about how much I'd receive. Good to know the process is at least predictable.

0 coins

File as soon as possible after becoming unemployed. There's a one-week waiting period, so the sooner you file, the sooner you can start receiving benefits.

0 coins

One thing that caught me off guard was that if you worked in multiple states, it can affect which state you file in and how your benefits are calculated. Washington ESD can help determine the best option.

0 coins

Fortunately I only worked in Washington, so that's not an issue for me.

One last tip - keep all your pay stubs and employment records handy when you file. Even though employers report wages to Washington ESD, having your own records helps if there are any discrepancies.

0 coins

Good advice. I'll make sure to gather all my documentation before I file my claim.

0 coins

Also keep records of any severance pay or vacation payout, as those might affect your eligibility timing even if they don't count toward the benefit calculation.

This thread has been super helpful! I was also confused about the calculation but now I understand the process much better. Thanks to everyone who contributed detailed explanations.

Agreed! This community is great for getting real answers about Washington ESD processes.

These kinds of detailed discussions are so much more helpful than trying to decipher the official Washington ESD website.
