If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

For anyone else having this issue, you can also visit a WorkSource office in person if you can't get through by phone. They can help you with PIN issues and other account problems.

Good suggestion but not all WorkSource offices handle unemployment issues. Call first to make sure they can help with PIN problems.

0 coins

The WorkSource in my area doesn't do unemployment stuff anymore. They told me I had to call Washington ESD directly.

Don't forget that you have to file your weekly claims even if you're having PIN issues. You can file them late but you need to do it as soon as you get your PIN to avoid any payment delays.

0 coins

You have to file within 4 weeks of the week you're claiming. After that you might lose those benefits permanently.

0 coins

Actually I think you can still file late claims but you have to provide a good reason. PIN issues would definitely qualify as good cause.

0 coins

I just want to add that if you do get approved, make sure you understand how to file your weekly claims correctly. Missing a week or filing incorrectly can cause payment delays.

0 coins

Is there a tutorial or guide for the weekly filing process?

0 coins

Washington ESD has guides on their website, but honestly the system is pretty straightforward once you do it once or twice.

Final thought - even if this whole situation sucks right now, sometimes getting fired from a toxic workplace is a blessing in disguise. You'll find something better!

Exactly! Now you can find a job where they actually care about employee safety.

And if you need help reaching Washington ESD during your job search for any claim questions, remember that Claimyr option I mentioned. Much better than spending hours on hold.

Whatever happens, don't take it personally. These hearings are just about determining eligibility for benefits based on the facts. Stay professional and focused on what actually happened.

Good advice. I'll try to keep my emotions in check and just focus on presenting the facts clearly.

Update us after your hearing! I'm curious to know how it goes. Good luck!

Will do! Thanks everyone for all the advice and support. Feeling much more prepared now.

Just want to add that if you're getting close to exhausting your benefits and still haven't found work, don't give up. There are other resources like food assistance, job training programs, and career counseling that can help bridge the gap.

0 coins

Thanks for mentioning that. I'm getting worried about what happens after my benefits run out so it's good to know there are other options.

WorkSource locations can help connect you with additional resources and training opportunities. Don't wait until the last minute to explore your options.

One more thing - make sure you understand the difference between your benefit year and your benefit duration. Your benefit year is 52 weeks from when you filed, but you only get up to 26 weeks of actual benefit payments during that year.

0 coins

This confused me at first too. I thought I had a whole year to collect benefits but it's really only 26 weeks worth of payments.

0 coins

Right, and if you don't use all 26 weeks within your benefit year, you can't carry them over to a new claim.

0 coins

One more thing to consider - if you do training through WorkSource or an approved program, you might be able to extend your benefits under certain circumstances. Not common but worth knowing about.

0 coins

How does that work? Do you apply for training through WorkSource or directly with schools?

0 coins

You'd work with your WorkSource office to see if you qualify for training benefits. It's pretty specific requirements and not everyone qualifies, but could be worth looking into.

0 coins

Bottom line: plan for 25 paid weeks (26 total minus the waiting week) and use that time effectively. The job market can be tough but 6 months is usually enough time to find something if you stay focused and persistent.

Thanks everyone for all the detailed answers! This gives me a much clearer picture of what to expect and how to plan my job search timeline.
