If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Quick question - if I file and then find a new job before my claim is processed, do I need to do anything special or just stop filing weekly claims?

You should report the new job on your weekly claim filing. If you're working full time, you won't be eligible for that week's benefits, but you can always reopen your claim if the job doesn't work out.

Got it, thanks for clarifying that.

Thanks everyone for all the advice! I'm definitely going to file my claim tonight. Feeling much more confident about my chances now. Will update if I hear anything back from Washington ESD.

Good luck! Remember to file your weekly claims every week even while you're waiting for the adjudication decision.

0 coins

You've got this! Just be patient with the process and don't hesitate to follow up if it takes too long.

Based on everything discussed here, it sounds like you should definitely qualify. Eight months full-time plus six months part-time should put you well over the wage thresholds, and being laid off means you meet the separation requirements.

Thanks for the summary! I feel much more confident about applying now.

You're welcome! The sooner you apply, the sooner you can start receiving benefits if approved.

Good luck with your application! This thread has been really informative for anyone trying to understand Washington ESD eligibility requirements.

Anyone else notice how the job market has tons of openings for people who can work WITH automated systems rather than being replaced by them? Might be worth looking into those types of roles while job searching.

0 coins

That's a good point. I should look for positions managing or overseeing automated processes rather than doing manual work.

0 coins

Exactly. The robots need human supervision, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Different skills but still valuable.

If your claim gets held up for any reason, definitely try Claimyr. I was stuck in 'pending' status for over a month until I used their service to actually reach a Washington ESD rep who could explain what was wrong.

Thanks for the recommendation. Hopefully my claim goes through smoothly but good to know there's a backup option.

Yeah, sometimes simple issues get stuck in the system and you need a human to fix them. Claimyr makes that possible when the phones are impossible to get through on.

For those struggling with getting through to Washington ESD about tax questions or any other issues, I found Claimyr at claimyr.com really helpful. They handle the phone system navigation so you can actually talk to someone. Made dealing with my withholding questions much easier.

The Boss

Does it work for all types of Washington ESD calls or just certain issues?

0 coins

From what I understand, it helps with getting through to agents for any unemployment-related calls. Really useful when you need to speak with someone but can't get through on your own.

0 coins

One thing to watch out for - if you change your tax withholding mid-year, it only affects future payments, not past ones. So if you realize you need more withheld, change it ASAP but also set aside money for what you might owe on the benefits already received.

0 coins

That's a really good point. I'm going to calculate what I might owe on the benefits I've already received and start saving for that too.

0 coins

Smart thinking. It's better to be prepared than get surprised at tax time.

0 coins

Based on what you've described - 8 months full-time at $18/hour - you should definitely qualify. You're well over the hour requirement and your wages should easily meet the minimums.

0 coins

Thanks for the reassurance. I feel much better about my situation now.

0 coins

No problem. Just make sure to file as soon as possible if you do get laid off. Benefits don't start until you file your claim.
