If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

File immediately and don't look back. I've been through this process twice and waiting never helps anyone.

Appreciate everyone's advice. Filing tonight for sure.

Budget cuts are definitely not misconduct so you should qualify assuming you meet the wage requirements. Good luck with your claim!

Thanks everyone for all the help! This has been super informative.

Hope your claim goes through smoothly! Keep us posted if you run into any snags.

Just want to echo what others have said about keeping detailed records. Save all your pay stubs, keep track of your hours worked each week, and document any communication with your employer about the hour reduction. If Washington ESD has questions later, you'll want to have all that information ready.

0 coins

Great advice. I've been keeping my pay stubs but I should probably start a more organized system.

A simple spreadsheet with dates, hours worked, and gross pay for each week is usually sufficient. Just something you can reference if needed.

Has anyone dealt with the situation where your employer brings your hours back up after you've been getting partial benefits? Do you have to report that change immediately?

0 coins

Yes, you need to report any changes in your work situation immediately. If your hours increase significantly, it could affect your benefit eligibility.

0 coins

Thanks, that's what I figured. Better to over-report than under-report with Washington ESD.

I used Claimyr when I had questions about my claim status and it was worth every penny. Got connected to an agent in under 20 minutes vs the 4+ hours I'd been trying to call directly.

Starting to think that service might be necessary just to navigate this system. The fact that a paid service exists to help people reach their own state agency is pretty sad

0 coins

It is sad but it works. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get answers

0 coins

Bottom line: Washington state law allows filing up to one year after unemployment begins, but benefits only start from your filing date. Don't wait another day - file immediately and start your weekly claims process.

Perfect summary. I'm convinced - filing tonight. Thanks everyone for the wake-up call!

OP, based on everything you've described, it really sounds like you need to speak with someone at Washington ESD to clarify your benefit type and resolve whatever's holding up your payments. Don't let this drag on for weeks.

0 coins

You're right, I need to be more persistent about reaching them. Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice!

0 coins

Good luck! Hope you get it sorted out soon.

Final thought - if you do end up needing to use something like Claimyr to get through, just make sure you have all your questions ready. When you finally reach someone, you want to make the most of that call.

0 coins

Great point, I'll write down all my questions beforehand so I don't forget anything important.

0 coins

Yeah definitely be prepared. These calls can make or break getting your benefits flowing again.

One last tip - if your claim gets denied for any reason, you have the right to appeal. Don't just give up if you think the decision is wrong. The appeal process exists for a reason.

0 coins

How long do you have to file an appeal if needed?

0 coins

You have 30 days from the date on the determination notice to file an appeal. Don't wait - the deadline is strict.

0 coins

just wanted to add that if you're really struggling financially while waiting for benefits to start, look into local food banks and assistance programs. there's no shame in getting help when you need it

0 coins

That's really thoughtful advice. Hopefully I won't need it but good to know resources are available.

0 coins

yeah, unemployment can be stressful enough without worrying about basic needs. take care of yourself
