If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

yep you should keep certifying weekly! learned that the hard way when I missed 3 weeks and had to go through a whole appeal process to get those payments back

Oh no! Thanks for the warning. I'll make sure to keep filing my weekly claims then.

Thanks everyone for explaining this! I had no idea that my unemployment benefits were part of a larger economic stabilization system. Makes me feel a bit better about being on UI knowing it serves a broader economic purpose.

0 coins

That's a healthy perspective! Unemployment benefits aren't just individual assistance - they're an important part of economic policy that helps everyone by stabilizing the broader economy.

0 coins

Yeah, I learned a lot from this discussion too. The economic theory behind it is actually pretty fascinating.

One thing I've noticed is that during recessions, not only do more people qualify for benefits, but the political pressure to extend benefits also increases. So there's an automatic policy response beyond just the built-in stabilizers.

0 coins

That's an interesting observation about the political economy aspect. High unemployment creates pressure for additional policy responses beyond the automatic stabilizers.

0 coins

Right, so you get both the automatic response and then additional legislative responses as unemployment persists.

0 coins

That's a good rule of thumb. Better to overestimate than get caught short when rates go up.

Thanks everyone for all the detailed info. This has been really helpful for understanding what I'm looking at cost-wise.

For what it's worth, I just filed my claim yesterday and the online system only asked me to upload pay stubs if there were wage discrepancies. Since my employer reported everything correctly, I didn't need to provide any additional documentation. The system is pretty smart about matching up wage records.

0 coins

That's encouraging! Hopefully my employer reported everything correctly too and I won't need to provide extra documentation.

0 coins

Keep those pay stubs handy just in case, but you might not need them if everything matches up in their system.

Bottom line from reading all these responses: gather 12-18 months of pay stubs from all your jobs, make copies or scan them, have them ready when you file, but don't panic if you don't have every single one. Washington ESD has most wage information already and will let you know if they need additional documentation.

Perfect summary! This gives me a clear action plan for getting my documentation together.

Agreed, this thread covered all the main points someone would need to know about pay stub requirements.

The whole process seemed overwhelming at first but once I got my first payment and saw the exact amount, it all made sense. The Washington ESD portal shows a good breakdown of how they calculated your weekly benefit amount so you can verify it's correct.

0 coins

That's reassuring! I'm planning to file this week so hopefully the process goes smoothly.

Good luck! Make sure you have all your employment history ready when you file - dates, employer info, reason for separation, etc. Makes the process much faster.

I tried calling Washington ESD multiple times to ask about benefit amounts before filing and could never get through. Finally just filed online and the system calculated everything automatically. Probably saved myself hours of frustration trying to reach someone by phone.

Yeah the phone system is brutal. I know some people have had luck with that Claimyr service others mentioned for actually reaching agents when you really need to talk to someone.

I might look into that if I run into any issues with my claim. Always good to have options for getting help when you need it.
