If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One more thing - make sure you understand the difference between your monetary determination and your eligibility determination. The wage requirements are just for the monetary part.

What's the difference between those two things?

0 coins

Monetary determination is about whether you earned enough wages to qualify financially. Eligibility determination is about whether you're eligible based on how you lost your job, whether you're able and available to work, etc.

0 coins

Bottom line: $3,500 total wages in your base period with at least $2,625 in your highest quarter. If you made $8,000 total, you should be fine as long as it wasn't all concentrated in one quarter.

Thanks everyone for all the help! I think I have a much better understanding now. I'm going to check my wage history online and then file my claim.

Good luck! Feel free to come back if you run into any issues during the application process.

I've been working part-time for 3 months while on unemployment and it's been working out well. Just make sure you keep good records of your hours and earnings in case Washington ESD ever asks for documentation.

0 coins

Good advice on keeping records. I'll make sure to document everything properly.

0 coins

Yes! Keep pay stubs, time sheets, anything that shows your actual work and earnings.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! This thread cleared up a lot of my confusion about working while collecting benefits.

0 coins

Same here! I feel much more confident about taking that part-time job now.

File immediately and then start your job search right away too. Washington has work search requirements and they can ask for your job search log at any time. Better to start tracking from day one.

0 coins

Good reminder about the job search requirements. How many jobs do I need to apply to each week?

0 coins

I think it's 3 job search activities per week but check the Washington ESD website to be sure. Can include applications, networking, job fairs, etc.

Don't stress too much about getting everything perfect on your initial application. You can always provide additional information later if they need it. The important thing is getting your claim date established.

0 coins

That's reassuring. I was worried about making a mistake that would mess up my whole claim.

0 coins

Yeah they're pretty good about letting you correct minor errors. The main thing is just getting started.

0 coins

Bottom line - there really aren't any significant downsides to filing. You paid into the system, you're entitled to benefits if you qualify. Just make sure you follow all the rules and keep good documentation.

Good luck with your claim and your job search! The tech market is tough right now but there are still opportunities out there.

0 coins

Definitely file ASAP - there's a waiting week before benefits start, so the sooner you file the sooner you'll start receiving payments.

Just want to echo what others said about Claimyr - if you run into any issues with your claim that require talking to someone at Washington ESD, that service is a lifesaver. The regular phone system is basically unusable.

0 coins

I'll definitely keep that in mind if I run into problems. Hopefully my claim will be straightforward since it was just a standard layoff.

0 coins

Even straightforward claims sometimes need clarification. Better to know about resources like that before you need them.

For anyone still struggling to get through to Washington ESD for questions about their specific situation, I found claimyr.com super helpful. They have a service that helps you actually reach agents instead of getting the endless busy signals. Worth checking out if you need to talk to someone about your claim.

0 coins

I might need to try that if I run into any issues with my claim. Thanks for the tip!

0 coins

Yeah I've heard good things about that service. Beats spending hours trying to get through on the phone.

0 coins

Bottom line: yes they contact employers, but it's routine and usually not a big deal. Just be honest on your application and report your part-time wages accurately. You should be fine.

0 coins

Perfect, that's exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks everyone for all the helpful responses!
