File today! I'm dealing with the same situation and wish I'd filed sooner. Even if there's adjudication, at least the clock starts ticking on your claim date.
The key thing is that Washington ESD pays benefits from your filing date, not your separation date. So every day you wait is literally money out of your pocket. Performance-related terminations can still qualify for benefits if it wasn't willful misconduct.
Quick question - if I appeal my monetary determination, can I still file weekly claims while the appeal is processing?
Thanks everyone for explaining this! I was so confused when I first got my determination letter but now I understand how they calculated my $347 weekly benefit. The system makes more sense now even though it's still complicated.
If anyone needs to talk to Washington ESD urgently, I had great luck with Claimyr recently. My claim got stuck and I needed answers fast. Their service connected me to an agent who resolved my issue in one call. Way better than the endless busy signals on the regular number.
Just remember that even after you get your first payment, there can be delays or issues later on. Keep all your documentation organized and stay on top of any requirements they send you. The system works but you have to stay engaged with it.
Just wanted to add - if your claim gets denied for any reason, don't panic. You can appeal the decision. You have 30 days from the date of the determination to file an appeal.
One more thing - make sure your contact information is current in your Washington ESD account. They'll send important notices by mail and email, and if they can't reach you it can cause problems with your claim.

Keep filing those weekly claims! Can't stress this enough. Even if the investigation is ongoing, you need to maintain your filing schedule or you'll lose those weeks permanently.

•Yes, someone else mentioned this earlier. I'm going to catch up on all the weeks I missed filing. Thanks for the reminder!

Investigations are definitely taking longer these days. Mine was 7 weeks last spring and my coworker's was almost 10 weeks. Just the reality of the system right now unfortunately.

•Good to know I'm not alone in this. It helps to hear other people's timelines even if they're not great.
