just a heads up - when your claim does get approved, the back payments usually come through pretty quickly. so hang in there, once the dam breaks you'll get all the money you're owed
One more thing to try - if you have a local WorkSource office, you can sometimes get help there. They can't process your claim but they might be able to help you figure out what's causing the delay or help you get through to Washington ESD by phone.
unemployment describes the condition where you become really good at checking your account obsessively lol. I probably logged into my Washington ESD account 5 times a day waiting for updates during adjudication
Bottom line for everyone here - unemployment through Washington ESD describes the condition where you meet their eligibility requirements and follow their processes. Don't let the bureaucracy intimidate you from filing if you think you qualify. The system exists to help people who are out of work through no fault of their own.
Claimyr helped me understand my disqualification issue too. I was confused about the misconduct determination and they helped me get through to an adjudicator who explained everything. Sometimes you just need to talk to the right person.
Thanks everyone for all the info! Sounds like I should be okay since I was laid off due to business reasons. I'll make sure to report the cash work I did and document everything properly. Really appreciate all the help!
don't get your hopes up too high about the amount. they always find ways to give you less than you expect and then make you jump through hoops to keep getting it

I used Claimyr when I needed to clarify some confusion about my remaining weeks. They got me connected fast and the agent was able to explain exactly where I stood with my benefits. Definitely recommend it if you need to talk to someone at Washington ESD without the phone hassle.

Bottom line - plan like you have 26 weeks and use that time wisely. Don't wait until week 25 to start thinking about what's next. Good luck with your job search!
