Just remember that even after you get approved, you have to keep certifying every week and meeting the job search requirements. It's not just a one-time thing - there are ongoing obligations to keep getting benefits.
I used a service called Claimyr when my claim was stuck and it was honestly the best decision I made during my unemployment period. Instead of calling hundreds of times, they got me connected to an agent who resolved my issue the same day. Check out their demo video if you're interested: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ
A few people have mentioned Claimyr now. It must actually work if multiple people are recommending it.
One last piece of advice: keep detailed records of everything. Screenshot your claim status, save all correspondence, keep a log of when you call and what you're told. If something goes wrong, you'll need documentation to prove your case.
The Washington ESD website has a benefits calculator where you can estimate how much you'll get per week and for how many weeks. It's not 100% accurate but gives you a ballpark idea of what to expect.
Keep in mind that if you exhaust your regular UI benefits and still can't find work, there might be other training programs or assistance available through WorkSource. It's worth looking into before your benefits run out.
One more tip - if you worked in multiple states recently, you might need to file in a different state depending on where you earned the most wages. Washington ESD can help you figure out which state you should file in, but it's worth checking before you start the application.
The whole process took me about 30 minutes to complete the initial application online. Just make sure you have all your employment info ready beforehand so you don't have to stop and look things up. The system times out if you take too long on one page.

don't get your hopes up too high about the amount. they always find ways to give you less than you expect and then make you jump through hoops to keep getting it

•While the system has issues, the benefit calculation is pretty straightforward math once you understand it.

Good luck with everything! The first time filing can be stressful but once you get your first payment it's a huge relief. Just stay on top of your weekly claims and job search requirements.

•Thanks everyone for all the help. This gives me a much better idea of what to expect when I file tomorrow.
