If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

The good news is once your claim is approved, payments usually come pretty quickly. I get mine via direct deposit every Tuesday for the previous week.

You can also get a debit card if you don't want direct deposit. Both options are free.

0 coins

I'll probably do direct deposit. Seems faster and more convenient.

Last thing - keep all your paperwork organized! You might need to reference dates, amounts, or other details later if any issues come up with your claim.

0 coins

Good point. I'll start a folder with all my unemployment documents right away.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone sharing their experiences. I learned more about unemployment fraud from this thread than from Washington ESD's actual website. The official information is so vague compared to real people's stories.

0 coins

Government websites are written by lawyers, not regular people. That's why forums like this are so valuable for understanding what really happens.

0 coins

Agreed! This thread has been incredibly helpful. I feel much more prepared to handle my fraud investigation now.

Final thought - if you get through the fraud investigation successfully, consider freezing your credit and setting up alerts on your financial accounts. Once your identity is stolen once, you're more likely to be targeted again.

0 coins

Absolutely. Credit freezes are free and the best protection against future identity theft. You can temporarily lift them when you need to apply for credit.

I'll definitely do that once this is all resolved. Thanks everyone for all the advice and support!

One last thing - if you're driving to Spokane for job interviews after you move, keep track of your mileage. You can sometimes get reimbursed for job search related travel expenses.

0 coins

I didn't know about travel reimbursement! Is that through ESD or somewhere else?

0 coins

It's through WorkSource Washington. Not a huge amount but every little bit helps when you're on unemployment.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice! Feeling much more confident about this move now. I'll update my address as soon as I get there and keep doing everything else the same. Really appreciate this community!

You'll do fine! Just stay on top of your weekly claims and job search.

0 coins

Feel free to ask if you run into any issues. And remember that Claimyr option if you need to talk to ESD directly.

Bottom line - plan for 25 weeks of benefits max, keep doing your job searches, and start looking for work right away. The job market is decent right now but it can take months to find something good.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the advice. This is way more helpful than trying to navigate the Washington ESD website alone.

Good luck with your job search! The warehouse industry is pretty busy right now so hopefully you'll find something soon.

0 coins

One last thing - keep all your documentation! If there's ever a question about your eligibility or they audit your claim, you'll need proof of your job searches and any work you did while collecting benefits.

0 coins

Job search log, copies of applications you submitted, any correspondence with Washington ESD, and records of any part-time work or income.

I keep everything in a folder on my computer. Makes it easy to find if they ask for it later.

Final update request - let us know how it turns out! Your case could help other people in similar situations.

0 coins

Will do! I'll post an update once I hear back from Washington ESD.

Good luck! Remember that standing up for safety at work is the right thing to do, regardless of what happened with your job. Don't let this discourage you from speaking up in the future.

Thanks. I definitely won't stop advocating for workplace safety, but I'll be smarter about how I approach it next time.
