If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Digital is fine, just make sure you back it up. Cloud storage or email yourself copies of important stuff.

I keep a simple spreadsheet with dates and what I did each week. Makes it easy to reference later.

Good luck with your application! The first few weeks are always the most stressful, but once you get into the routine it becomes much more manageable. Hope you find a new job soon!

Smart move! Better to get it done today than put it off. Best of luck!

And remember, if you need to talk to someone at Washington ESD and can't get through, Claimyr.com is there as a backup option. Sometimes talking to a real person makes all the difference.

For what it's worth, $387/week on a $42k salary sounds about right. That's roughly $20k annually in benefits, which is pretty close to 50% of your previous income. The calculation is working as intended.

0 coins

That's reassuring to hear. I was worried I was getting shortchanged but it sounds like it's in the right ballpark.

Yeah, the Washington system is actually pretty generous compared to some other states. Just make sure all your wage information is accurate.

Final advice: get a copy of your complete wage history from Washington ESD and compare it to your pay stubs and W-2s. Any missing wages or incorrect employer information will throw off your benefit calculation. Had a friend who was short $50/week because one employer's wages weren't reported correctly.

0 coins

How do I get a copy of my wage history? Is that something I can access online or do I need to request it?

0 coins

You should be able to see it in your online account, or you can call and request it. If you're having trouble getting through by phone, some people mentioned that Claimyr service earlier in the thread.

Just to summarize the key steps: 1) Gather all your employment and personal info, 2) Create your ESD account at esd.wa.gov, 3) Complete the initial claim application, 4) File weekly claims every week, 5) Keep a job search log, 6) Be patient with processing times. You've got this!

Perfect summary! I'm saving this list for reference. Thanks again everyone!

The whole unemployment system can be overwhelming but this community is really helpful. Don't hesitate to post again if you have questions during the process.

Will do! It's great to know there are people here who understand what it's like.

The waiting week was eliminated in Washington so you can get paid for your first week of unemployment. That's one nice thing compared to some other states that still have waiting periods.

0 coins

That's good to know! Every bit helps when you're suddenly without income.

0 coins

Definitely! Just make sure to file your claim as soon as possible after your last day of work to avoid any delays.

Really appreciate everyone's help here. Sounds like with my salary I should expect somewhere in the $500-600 range per week. That'll help a lot while I'm job hunting. Time to file my claim and see what happens!

And start your job search activities right away so you have documentation when they ask for it.

If you run into any issues or need to speak with someone at ESD, definitely check out that Claimyr service I mentioned. Makes the whole process much less stressful.

This whole conversation reminds me of when I got laid off three years ago. I spent so much time trying to figure out the calculation beforehand when I should have just filed immediately. Don't make my mistake - every day you wait is a day you can't get benefits for.

Point taken! Filing this weekend for sure.

0 coins

also remember you have to do the weekly claims every week and do job searches. its not just free money - there are requirements to keep getting paid

0 coins

Yeah I heard about the job search requirements. How many jobs do you have to apply to each week?

0 coins

I think it's 3 job search activities per week, but they can be applications, networking, job fairs, etc. Not just applications.
