If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Really? Even if you're self-employed?

Thanks everyone for all the help and advice! This has been one of the most useful forum discussions I've ever been part of. Hope it helps others in similar situations. The main takeaways seem to be: 1) You can potentially qualify but it's complicated 2) Be completely honest about everything 3) Document all income and activities 4) Be prepared for a lengthy review process 5) You still have all the same job search requirements as other claimants.

And don't forget - if you need to talk to Washington ESD during the process, Claimyr can save you hours of phone tag. Worth checking out if you're struggling to get through.

Absolutely. Getting through to an actual person when you have questions is half the battle with Washington ESD.

My advice: file your weekly claims religiously, respond to any ESD requests immediately, and try not to stress too much about the timeline. Most people get their first payment within 2-3 weeks assuming no complications.

Thanks for the reassurance. I'll try to be patient and just focus on what I can control.

That's the right attitude. The money will come through, it's just a matter of waiting for the bureaucracy to work.

Update us when you get your first payment! It's always encouraging to hear success stories while we're all waiting in this unemployment limbo.

Definitely will! Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice and encouragement.

Just wanted to mention that if anyone's still having trouble reaching Washington ESD agents, that Claimyr service has been a lifesaver for me multiple times. Worth checking out their demo video to see how simple it is.

I might need to try that if I run into any issues. Good to know it's there as an option.

0 coins

Definitely keep it in mind. So much better than spending your whole day trying to get through on the phone.

Hope your first payment comes through smoothly! The waiting is always the hardest part but Washington ESD is generally pretty reliable with the payment timing once everything's set up properly.

Thank you! I'll update this thread when I get my first payment to let others know how it went.

That would be great! Always helpful to hear real experiences from people going through this.

Just went through this process myself. Filed a new claim after my benefit year ended, but I had worked part-time during my previous claim. The new weekly benefit amount was calculated based on those wages, so it was lower than my original claim. Something to keep in mind.

0 coins

How long did it take to get approved for your new claim?

0 coins

About 2 weeks for the determination, then another week for the first payment. Faster than my original claim, but still required patience.

0 coins

The bottom line is that you CAN refile after benefits run out, but only if you meet the wage requirements for a new claim. If you don't have sufficient wages from covered employment during your benefit year, you'll need to look at other options or find work to build up eligibility for a future claim.

This has been really helpful everyone. Sounds like I need to wait until my benefit year ends next month, then see if I have enough wages to qualify for a new claim. If not, I'll look into training programs and other assistance.

Good luck! And don't hesitate to get help navigating the system. Whether it's calling Washington ESD directly or using a service like Claimyr, it's worth getting accurate information about your specific situation.

Just want to add that if you're getting partial unemployment because you're working reduced hours, the calculation gets more complicated. They use a different formula that accounts for your part-time earnings each week.

0 coins

Thankfully I'm fully unemployed right now so I don't have to worry about that complication.

Thanks everyone for all the explanations! I think I understand now that my $437 is probably correct based on the two highest quarters formula. I'll still try to get through to Washington ESD to confirm, but at least I'm not panicking about it being wrong anymore.

Glad we could help clarify things for you!
