If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Make copies of everything before you submit it! I learned that lesson when some of my documents got lost in the process.

Good tip! I'll make sure to keep copies of all my appeal paperwork.

0 coins

Yeah, always keep a paper trail. You never know when you'll need to reference something later.

0 coins

Good luck with your appeal! Sounds like you have a solid case if it was just scheduling disagreements. Stay positive and stick to the facts during the hearing.

You're welcome! Keep us updated on how it goes.

Yes, hope everything works out for you!

The whole unemployment system would be so much easier if they just had better customer service. Half the confusion comes from not being able to get answers to simple questions.

0 coins

Amen to that. They act like talking to claimants is some kind of burden instead of part of their job.

0 coins

That's honestly why services like Claimyr exist - because the regular system is so hard to navigate. At least there are options now.

Quick math check for OP - if you were making $62k annually that's about $4,770 per month or $1,192 per week gross. Even at the max benefit of $999 you're looking at about 84% replacement of your gross wages, which is actually pretty good.

0 coins

Wow, when you put it that way it doesn't sound too bad. Obviously I'd rather be working but at least it'll help cover most of my expenses while I look.

0 coins

Exactly. Just remember that's gross comparison - your take-home pay difference won't be as dramatic since unemployment is taxed differently.

Last thing - if you're really struggling with Washington ESD employer issues and need to talk to someone, that Claimyr service has been a lifesaver for me multiple times. Check out their demo video to see how it works. Much better than the frustration of trying to get through on your own.

Thanks for mentioning this multiple times. I was skeptical at first but clearly it works for you.

0 coins

Yeah, I only recommend things that actually help. The Washington ESD phone system is just broken for busy periods.

Overall, unemployment affects businesses through direct costs (UI taxes), indirect costs (administrative time), and broader economic effects (consumer spending, worker mobility). It's expensive but serves important economic functions. The key is managing your piece of it as efficiently as possible.

Great summary. This discussion has really opened my eyes to all the different angles of this issue.

0 coins

Agreed. Understanding the full picture helps make better business decisions about staffing and layoffs.

0 coins

If it helps, I got my approval notification on a Wednesday after filing on a Monday two weeks prior. So exactly 2 weeks and 2 days. First payment showed up in my account the following Tuesday. So once it gets approved, the money comes pretty quick.

0 coins

That timeline gives me hope! Fingers crossed I hear something this week then.

0 coins

Don't forget that even after you get approved, you might have a waiting week depending on when you filed and your work history. That's separate from the processing time.

0 coins

I thought they eliminated the waiting week in Washington?

0 coins

They did eliminate it for most people, but there are still some situations where it applies. Manufacturing layoffs usually don't have waiting weeks though.

One last thing - if you're looking at your monetary determination and the quarters seem wrong, double-check the dates. Sometimes people get confused about which year they're looking at, especially if they filed their claim early in the new year.

0 coins

Good point! I need to look at my letter more carefully to make sure I understand which specific months they're using.

0 coins

The letter should be pretty clear about the date ranges, but if you're still confused, definitely call Washington ESD for clarification.

thanks everyone for explaining this! i was totally lost when i got my monetary determination letter but now i understand how washington esd calculates benefits using calendar quarters. makes way more sense now

Same here! This thread really helped clear things up.
