If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

This whole situation is making me realize how unprepared most people are for unemployment. We should all know this stuff before we need it.

You're absolutely right. I had no idea about half of this stuff until I started worrying about potential layoffs.

0 coins

Same here. It's one of those things you hope you never need to know, but really should understand just in case.

Anyone else think we should be pushing for Washington ESD to be more transparent about their capacity and contingency plans? Seems like we're all just guessing here.

0 coins

They do publish some statistics and reports, but you're right that it's not very accessible to regular people. Most of us don't know where to find that information.

0 coins

Exactly. We shouldn't have to guess about whether the system can handle a crisis.

Just to follow up on the Claimyr thing - I ended up needing to use it again when I had questions about my job search requirements. It's really handy when you need to talk to someone who can look at your specific account and give you accurate information instead of just general advice.

I've been thinking about trying that. The phone system for Washington ESD is impossible - I've tried calling probably 20 times and never gotten through.

0 coins

That's exactly why I started using it. The regular phone system is basically unusable when you actually need help.

Bottom line - file your claim ASAP and don't let anyone tell you that you can't get benefits just because you were fired. Let Washington ESD make that determination based on the facts. Most terminations don't involve misconduct, even if the employer tries to make it sound worse than it was.

This thread has been so helpful. I'm going to file my claim first thing tomorrow morning. Thank you everyone for all the advice and support!

0 coins

Good luck! Remember that even if there are bumps in the process, most people do get their benefits approved. Stay persistent and don't hesitate to ask for help when you need it.

Bottom line: pregnancy itself doesn't disqualify you from unemployment benefits in Washington. File your claim, be honest about your situation, actively look for work, and follow all the regular requirements. Good luck with both the job search and the baby!

Thank you so much everyone! This thread has been incredibly helpful. I feel much more confident about applying for benefits now.

You've got this! It's definitely manageable, and having that financial support while you look for work will make a huge difference.

One last tip - if you do need to call Washington ESD for any reason and can't get through, I also had success with that Claimyr service. They really do help you skip the long wait times and connect with an actual person who can answer your specific questions about pregnancy and unemployment eligibility.

Thanks! I'll definitely keep that in mind if I need to speak with someone directly about my claim.

Whatever the unemployment rate is, Washington ESD should still process claims in a reasonable timeframe. 6+ weeks for adjudication is excessive regardless of economic conditions.

0 coins

Agreed. At least they could provide better updates on the status of claims that are taking this long.

0 coins

The lack of communication is definitely one of the biggest issues with the Washington ESD system.

0 coins

hang in there, I know it's frustrating but most adjudication issues do get resolved eventually. keep filing your weekly claims and doing your job searches in the meantime

0 coins

Thanks for the encouragement. I'll keep doing my weekly claims and hopefully hear something soon.

0 coins

you got this! the waiting is the hardest part but it usually works out in the end

0 coins

Bottom line for the original poster - you'll likely get close to the full 26 weeks if you worked steadily for 8 years. Make sure to file your weekly claims on time and keep up with your job search requirements. The benefits should give you a good cushion while you look for your next position.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the helpful information! I feel much more confident about filing my claim now.

0 coins

Good luck with your job search! With 8 years of experience in manufacturing, you should have good prospects.

One last tip - if you do need to contact Washington ESD and can't get through on your own, that Claimyr service really does work. I was skeptical at first but it saved me weeks of frustration trying to get answers about my claim duration and weekly benefit amount.

0 coins

I might have to try that. I've been calling Washington ESD every day for two weeks with no luck.

0 coins

Definitely worth trying if you're stuck. It's much easier than the endless busy signals and dropped calls.
