If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One last thing - even if you're not 100% sure about your eligibility, it's worth applying. The worst they can do is deny you, and then you'll know for sure. Plus if you wait too long you might miss out on benefits you could have gotten.

You're right. I'm going to apply this weekend. Thanks everyone for all the help and advice!

Good luck with your application! The process gets easier once you get started and understand how it all works.

Thanks! Feeling much more confident about this now.

Update for anyone following this thread - I finally got my fact-finding questionnaire yesterday (day 16 since the protest was filed). Filled it out immediately with all my documentation and submitted it online. Hopefully won't be much longer now!

That's great news! Hopefully I'll get mine soon too. Thanks for the update.

good luck with your case! keep us posted on how it turns out

Final update - got my determination letter today approving my benefits! Total time from protest filing to decision was 39 days. Got all my back pay deposited within 2 business days. To anyone going through this process - hang in there and make sure you respond quickly to any requests for information.

awesome outcome! glad it worked out for you in the end

thanks for following up with the final result, really helpful for others going through the same thing

So basically if you worked enough and made enough money, you probably qualify. The specific job length doesn't matter as much as total earnings.

0 coins

That's a good summary. It's about meeting the earnings threshold across all your jobs during the base period.

0 coins

Thanks everyone, this really helped clear things up!

glad this thread helped! i was wondering the same thing

Always good to see these discussions help multiple people understand the requirements better.

0 coins

definitely, should have looked this up sooner

The Claimyr thing really does work well. I was skeptical at first but it got me through to Washington ESD in like 10 minutes instead of calling all day.

0 coins

That sounds way better than what I've heard about trying to call normally.

0 coins

Yeah, the regular phone lines are basically impossible. This actually gets you to a real person who can help.

0 coins

Bottom line - you need work in at least 2 quarters and minimum earnings. If you've been working full time for 8 months, you probably qualify unless there were gaps in your employment.

0 coins

No gaps, been working steady. Feeling a bit more confident now.

0 coins

You should be fine then. The 8 months of steady full-time work should easily meet the requirements.

Pro tip: when you file your initial claim, be completely honest about the circumstances of your termination. Don't try to hide anything or sugarcoat it. Washington ESD will find out the truth anyway when they contact your employer, and being dishonest could hurt your credibility.

0 coins

This is so important. I've seen people get denied just because they weren't upfront about why they were fired, even when they would have qualified if they'd been honest.

0 coins

Good point. I'll make sure to explain the whole situation accurately, including the safety complaints I made.

Also remember that while you're waiting for your claim to be processed, you should still be actively job searching and keeping records. If you get approved, they might ask for your job search log going back to when you first filed. Don't wait until you're approved to start looking for work.

0 coins

I've been looking but not keeping detailed records. What kind of information should I track?

Date, employer name, position applied for, method of contact, and any follow-up. Keep it simple but detailed enough to show you're making genuine efforts to find work.
