If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I was in HR for years and saw hundreds of unemployment claims. Attendance issues alone rarely disqualify someone unless there's a clear pattern of willful misconduct. A few late arrivals and sick days don't usually meet that threshold. File your claim with confidence.

This thread has been so helpful. I feel much better about my situation now.

That's what these forums are for - helping each other navigate this stuff. Good luck with everything!

Final thought - even if you do get denied initially, don't give up. The appeal process exists for a reason and lots of people win on appeal. I've seen cases where ESD reversed their initial decision after hearing more details.

0 coins

I'll definitely keep that in mind. Thanks everyone for all the advice and support!

You're welcome. Come back and update us on how it goes. Your experience might help someone else in the same situation.

Update us when you hear back from Washington ESD! I'm curious how LLC cases are being handled lately.

0 coins

Will do! Filing my claim tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!

0 coins

Good luck! Remember to keep filing your weekly claims even during adjudication.

Pro tip: when you file, be very clear in your application that you were a W-2 employee of your own LLC, not a contractor or owner drawing distributions. Use the exact language they expect to see.

0 coins

Good advice! I'll make sure to emphasize the employee aspect when I file.

Also mention that you paid unemployment taxes on your wages. That's key evidence of your employee status.

Just want to add that if you're working for temp agencies or doing gig work, make sure those earnings are actually reported to Washington ESD. Sometimes that income doesn't count toward your base period if it's not properly reported as covered employment.

0 coins

Good point! Both my jobs are regular W-2 employment so I think I'm okay there.

0 coins

Yeah 1099 work usually doesn't count unless you've been paying into the system voluntarily

Thanks everyone for all the info in this thread! Really cleared up my confusion about the work requirements. Seems like the key thing is having enough total earnings in your base period, not how many hours per week you worked.

0 coins

Exactly! This has been super helpful. I feel much more confident about understanding the requirements now.

0 coins

Glad we could help clarify things. The earnings requirement is definitely the main hurdle for most people.

The whole system is designed to be confusing so people give up and don't claim benefits they're entitled to. Don't let them discourage you - if you worked and paid taxes, you deserve these benefits.

0 coins

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm definitely going to file and see what happens.

0 coins

Good luck! Make sure you have all your employment information handy when you file online.

One last tip - if you get denied, don't give up. You can appeal the decision and sometimes they made mistakes in their initial review.

0 coins

Good to know. Hopefully it won't come to that but I'll keep it in mind.

0 coins

And if you need help with the appeal process, that's another situation where Claimyr can help you get through to Washington ESD to discuss your case.

For what it's worth, 26 weeks is actually pretty standard. Most states offer between 12-26 weeks, so Washington is on the higher end. Could be worse.

0 coins

thats good to know. i was worried 26 weeks wasnt enough time but sounds like were lucky compared to other places

0 coins

Bottom line: 26 weeks maximum in Washington, no exceptions unless there's a federal extension program (which there isn't right now). Use the time wisely to find good work, meet all the job search requirements, and file your weekly claims on time. Good luck everyone!

Thanks to everyone who answered! This thread was super helpful. Time to update my resume and start applying seriously.

Same here. At least now I know exactly what I'm working with time-wise.
