The weekly claim process becomes routine after a few weeks. Just set a reminder to file every Sunday and keep track of your job search activities throughout the week.
Don't forget to check your claim status regularly too. Sometimes Washington ESD will put a hold on your claim for various reasons and you need to resolve it quickly to avoid missing payments.
For anyone still waiting - the longest I've seen is 6 weeks for first payment, but that was with multiple issues on the claim. Most people get paid within 3-4 weeks if there are no problems.

if u run into any weird error messages during the application just try again later or use a different browser. the esd website can be glitchy sometimes
