Check with your mail carrier too. Sometimes they hold packages if your mailbox is too small or if there's a delivery issue.
The card itself is pretty standard looking - blue with Way2Go branding and your name. Nothing fancy but it works fine for getting your unemployment payments.
The whole system is set up to confuse people and deny benefits. Don't trust the online calculator - it gave me a number $200 higher than what I actually got approved for.
Bottom line: with $52K income you'll probably get somewhere between $450-650 per week for up to 26 weeks. File as soon as you're unemployed and keep filing weekly claims even while waiting for approval. Good luck!
Also be aware that Washington ESD might contact your former employer to verify the reason for your separation. This is normal and doesn't mean there's a problem with your claim, it's just part of their process.
One last thing - if your claim gets denied for any reason, you can appeal within 30 days. Don't just give up if you get a denial letter, especially if you think it's wrong. The appeal process exists for a reason.
UPDATE: Payment just hit my account this morning (Wednesday)! Right on schedule like everyone said. Thanks for helping me not panic. Going to set up those bank alerts now so I don't stress about it next week.
Great to see a successful resolution! For anyone else reading this thread later, the key takeaways are: expect 1-2 business days after filing your weekly claim, first payments take longer, and don't panic if it's within the normal timeframe.
And remember Claimyr is there if you need to actually talk to Washington ESD about any issues.

I used Claimyr when I had questions about my earnings requirement and it was totally worth it. Saved me from playing phone tag with Washington ESD for weeks. The agent I spoke with was able to pull up my wage history and confirm I qualified right on the spot.

•It's not expensive, especially compared to the time and frustration it saves. Check out their website for details.

Update us when you file your claim! I'm curious to hear if you end up qualifying. Your situation sounds similar to mine when I was working part-time retail.
