If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

one last thing - keep copies of everything. your application, confirmation numbers, any letters from washington esd, everything. youll need them if any problems come up

Should I print physical copies or are digital copies okay?

i do both just to be safe. never know when youll need to reference something

Thanks everyone for all this helpful information! I feel much more prepared now. I'm going to gather all these documents this weekend and file my claim on Monday. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.

Good luck! Remember to file your weekly claims on time once your initial claim is processed.

You've got this! Having everything prepared beforehand will make the process much smoother.

For anyone else reading this - if you run into wage verification issues with Washington ESD, don't wait too long to get it sorted out. It can affect your benefit calculations if there are errors in the reported wages.

0 coins

Good advice. I waited too long to address a wage issue and it delayed my benefits for weeks.

0 coins

Yikes, I'll make sure to follow up on this quickly then. Thanks for the warning!

This has been a great discussion. Unemployment wage rules are so complicated but everyone here explained it really clearly.

0 coins

Agreed! This community is really helpful for navigating all the Washington ESD complexity.

One thing that might skew your data - a lot of women who lost jobs didn't file for unemployment because they weren't eligible (didn't work enough hours, were contractors, etc.) or because they became full-time caregivers instead of actively job searching.

0 coins

Good point - the unemployment rate only counts people actively looking for work. If you drop out of the labor force entirely, you don't show up in those statistics.

0 coins

Exactly, so the real impact on women's employment might be even bigger than the unemployment numbers show.

I used that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier when I needed to update my job search log with Washington ESD. Saved me literally hours of trying to get through on the phone. They're pretty efficient at navigating the phone system.

Is it worth it for routine stuff like updating your job search contacts, or more for complex issues?

0 coins

I think it depends on how urgent your situation is and how much your time is worth. For me, it was worth it to avoid the frustration of busy signals and dropped calls.

Also keep in mind that if you work part-time while collecting, that can extend how long your benefits last since you're not collecting the full amount each week. It's called partial unemployment and it can stretch out your 26 weeks over a longer period.

0 coins

Yes, as long as you earn less than your weekly benefit amount plus $5. Washington ESD has specific rules about reporting part-time earnings.

0 coins

Just make sure you report any work income on your weekly claims. They're strict about that and failure to report can cause big problems.

0 coins

The short answer is 6 months maximum for regular Washington unemployment benefits. But start your job search immediately and don't count on getting the full 26 weeks. Things can change and it's better to be prepared.

Thanks everyone for all the detailed responses. This has been really helpful in understanding what to expect.

Good luck with your job search! The Washington job market isn't too bad right now in most sectors.

0 coins

Keep in mind that even after you get your first payment, subsequent weekly payments can still have delays if Washington ESD needs to verify your continued eligibility or job search activities. The first payment is just the beginning.

0 coins

Good point, I shouldn't assume it'll be smooth sailing after the first payment.

0 coins

Yeah stay on top of your job search requirements, they do random audits

0 coins

For what it's worth, most people I know got their first payment within 2-3 weeks. The horror stories you hear online are usually the exception, not the rule. Try not to stress too much while you wait.

0 coins

Thanks for the perspective. It's easy to assume the worst when you're reading about all the problems online.

0 coins

True, people are way more likely to post when they're having problems than when everything goes smoothly
