If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

UPDATE: My payment finally switched from 'in process' to 'paid' today - took 9 days instead of the 4 days my first payment took. Still no explanation for the delay, but I'm just relieved it's coming through. Thanks everyone for helping me not panic! For anyone else seeing this who has the same problem, looks like patience is the answer as long as there are no open issues showing.

Great news! Glad it worked out. Keep in mind that payment timing can fluctuate throughout your benefit year, especially around quarter changes or if there are system updates. As long as you keep doing your weekly certifications correctly and meeting work search requirements, you should be fine.

This is such a common worry for new claimants! I went through the exact same thing when I first filed - first payment was super fast, then the second one sat in limbo for what felt like forever. The system really does seem to do extra checks on that second payment. I'm glad yours came through! Just wanted to add that it's totally normal for payment timing to vary week to week even after you get into a rhythm. Some weeks mine would come in 2 days, others would take 6-7 days, all with no issues on my dashboard. The important thing is to keep filing your weekly certifications on time and not stress too much about the timing as long as there are no actual problems showing up.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It's really reassuring to know that the payment timing variation is normal even after you get established in the system. I was starting to wonder if I'd have to stress about this every single week, but it sounds like once you understand the pattern it's easier to not panic when payments take a few extra days. Good to know that as long as I keep up with my weekly certifications and there are no dashboard issues, the payments will eventually come through even if the timing isn't consistent.

Glad to hear it finally came through! For anyone else reading this in the future - PA UC back payments typically take 5-10 business days despite what representatives might tell you. Always plan accordingly if you're counting on the funds for bills.

This is such a common issue with PA UC! I went through the exact same thing last year - was told 2-3 days for my back pay and it took almost 2 weeks. The anxiety of waiting when you have bills due is terrible. From what I've learned, larger amounts (like yours at $3,800) almost always trigger additional processing time, even though the reps don't always mention this upfront. Keep checking both your bank account AND call your bank to make sure they're not holding it for review. Some banks flag large government deposits as suspicious. Hang in there - based on everyone's experiences here, it sounds like it will come through, just not as quickly as they promised!

UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know my payment processed normally! The processing number appeared this morning and the payment is pending in my account. Looks like it was just a system update like you all suggested. Thanks for helping me not panic!

Great news! Glad it worked out. The UC system gives us all anxiety sometimes!

Thanks for posting this update! I was dealing with the exact same situation last week and your experience matches mine perfectly. The new job search question appeared out of nowhere after months of not seeing it, and I also had the same worry about the missing processing number. It's good to know this is just a system-wide update and not something we did wrong. For other seasonal workers reading this - it seems like the key is to keep answering 'yes' to the work search question if you have a documented return date, and be patient with the processing delays that seem to be happening during this transition period.

To answer your follow-up questions: 1. Yes, the review could be about your work search activities, but it could also be about your status as an independent contractor. When you started working as a caregiver after already being on UC, that's actually a significant change. 2. About potential overpayments - if they determine you didn't meet work search requirements, they could potentially rule those weeks as overpayments. However, you might be able to appeal based on receiving incorrect information from a state employee (the CareerLink staff). 3. Moving forward - absolutely maintain 2 work search activities each week and document everything thoroughly. I'd suggest using the PA CareerLink system to track your activities since it integrates with the UC system. 4. Definitely try to speak with a UC representative to understand exactly why your claim is under review. This will help you address the specific issue rather than guessing.

Thank you so much for the detailed information. I've started documenting everything and will make sure to do 2 activities every week from now on. I was able to get through to someone on the phone and they said the review is related to my independent contractor status, not my work search activities. They're determining if I should still be on regular UC or if I need to be on some other program. Fingers crossed it works out!

I'm glad you were able to get through and get some clarity on what the review is actually about! That's a huge relief that it's not related to your work search activities. The independent contractor classification review makes sense - PA UC has been really scrutinizing these situations more closely lately. Since you're already working as a caregiver and making $320/week, they're probably just making sure you're still eligible for regular UC benefits vs. needing to be classified differently. The good news is that if you were laid off from your regular job first and then picked up the caregiving work afterward, you should still qualify for regular UC benefits - you just need to keep reporting your weekly earnings accurately. Keep doing those 2 weekly work search activities just to be safe, and definitely save all your documentation about the incorrect advice you received from CareerLink in case you need it later. Good luck with the review process!

Final update: I WON MY APPEAL! Got the decision letter today stating that my medical appointments were approved absences and therefore NOT willful misconduct. The referee specifically cited the evidence I submitted showing prior approval from my manager. I've already filed claims for all the back weeks I missed, and the UC rep said I should receive payment within 2-3 business days. Such a relief! Thank you to everyone who provided advice and support. For anyone else going through this process - good documentation and preparation really do make all the difference.

Thank you all again! Just to clarify - this most recent update isn't from me (the original poster). I haven't received my decision yet, still waiting. But I'm glad to see a positive outcome and hoping mine goes similarly!

Congratulations to whoever won their appeal! That's such encouraging news for everyone going through this stressful process. Hannah, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get a positive decision soon too - it sounds like you were really well prepared with all that documentation showing prior approval for your medical appointments. That's exactly the kind of evidence that makes the difference in these cases. Please keep us updated when you hear back!
