omg same thing happened to me with the PIN verification! I ended up having to request a new PIN through the website. Takes like 7-10 days to come in the mail but at least it worked 🤷‍♀️

I found a way to actually get through to someone! Used this service called claimyr.com that calls and waits on hold for you then connects you when they get someone. Here's what you need to do: 1) Document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter date, every person you talk to. 2) Request new PIN online immediately 3) If system still won't verify SSN after new PIN, use claimyr.com to get through to rep 4) Ask specifically about backdating your claim due to late mail. 5) Get confirmation number for every interaction. Don't let them push you around - you're entitled to these benefits! Been through this whole mess myself and finally got it sorted.

Classic NY unemployment nonsense. Try calling right when they open at 8am, sometimes works better

Contact your state assembly person! They can actually help push things through. Google your district representative and email their office
