New York Unemployment claim on hold after missing meeting due to Covid - Will I get backpay?
Got covid and missed my required meeting. My claim got put on hold but I called and they removed the hold. Agent told me to keep certifying. Anyone know if I'll get the missed week during the hold? Also wondering when payments will start up again.

Same thing happened to me last month. Keep certifying! You'll get back pay for the held week once they process everything. Took about 10 days for my payments to start again after the hold was lifted.

I finally found a way to get through to unemployment! Used this service called claimyr.com - they call and wait on hold, then connect you when someone picks up. Costs $20 but totally worth it. Here's a video about how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

•100% legit! Used it twice now. Better than waiting 4 hours on hold lol

Document EVERYTHING. Screenshot your certifications, save any emails, write down who you talked to and when. NY unemployment loves to play games with peoples money 🤡

Pro tip: check your payment history on the website every morning. Sometimes they process stuff overnight and u might see pending payments before they actually hit ur account
