New York Unemployment: When to file new claim after BYE date 6/30/24?
My claim is expiring at the end of June. Not sure if I should file a new claim right away or wait until next week to submit it. Anyone know the best timing for this? Really dont want to mess this up and have delays.

Wait until after your BYE date. If you file before, the system might get confused and flag your account. File your last week as normal, then do the new claim the following week.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share what worked for me. I was stuck trying to reach someone about my new claim but found this site claimyr.com that calls unemployment for you and connects you when they get someone. Costs $20 but saved me days of calling. Here's a video explaining how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Make sure you have all your employment info from the past 18 months ready when you file the new claim. They gonna ask for everything down to the kitchen sink 🙄

Listen up because this is important. Here's exactly what you need to do for your BYE date transition: First, complete your final certification for the current claim as normal. After that, wait until the following Monday to file your new claim. Have these docs ready: - Last 18 months of employment history - Accurate dates and contact info for employers - Your separation reason from each job - Social security card and ID If you need to speak with someone (which you probably will), use claimyr.com - they'll get you through to an agent without the endless calling. The biggest mistake people make is filing too early or not having their docs ready. Trust me, I learned this the hard way.
