New York Unemployment: Benefits ending in 104 days - Need advice on extensions
I've been on unemployment since December and still struggling to find work. My benefits are about to run out next week when I hit my 104 days. Does anyone know if they're still doing extensions? Really need to know what my options are and who to contact about this.

Same situation here. Been looking everywhere but the job market is brutal rn. Applied to like 50 places and barely getting callbacks. Hope someone knows about extensions 😩

Found a way to actually get through to them! Used claimyr.com - its this service that calls and waits on hold for you, then connects you when an agent picks up. Costs $20 but worth every penny cause I finally got answers. Check out their demo: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Long time UI navigator here. Let me break this down for you: Your regular UI benefits last 26 weeks (104 days). After that, you might qualify for Extended Benefits (EB) depending on the state's unemployment rate. Right now, NY isn't offering additional extensions beyond the initial 26 weeks. What you should do: 1) Keep certifying weekly even if you're near the end 2) Double check your remaining balance on your account 3) Contact them ASAP (use claimyr.com if you cant get through) 4) Look into other assistance programs like SNAP or rental assistance 5) Make sure your work search records are perfect The job market is tough but don't give up. Consider visiting your local workforce center for free job search help and training programs. They sometimes have special programs for people who've exhausted benefits.
