Yep you can still claim today. I think you have until next Saturday actually. You won't lose any benefits, the system just won't process your payment until you certify. I've done this several times and it's never been an issue.

You have until Saturday to certify for the previous week. You can do it online or through the automated phone system. I do recommend setting a recurring reminder on your phone so you don't forget again. The unemployment system is finnicky enough without adding missed certifications to the mix!

According to the NYSDOL website: "If you miss your certification day, you can still certify for benefits through the end of that week (Saturday). If you miss certifying for the previous week, you can certify for that week the following week through the Telephone Claims Center.

hahahahah I literally do this all the time! I'm the worst at remembering Sunday certification. You're totally fine to do it Monday. I think you have until Saturday actually.

Not sure if anyones mentioned this yet, but you can actually certify any day until Saturday for the previous week. The system closes at midnight on Saturday, after which youll need to call to get it backdated. But yeah Monday is totally fine.

side note but why tf does NY unemployment make us certify on Sunday specifically?? like not everyone is available that day. what if someone has to work on sundays?? the system is so dumb sometimes

You have until Saturday at midnight! If you miss that deadline then you need to call them to request a backdate. And getting through to them is basically impossible unless you use claimyr.com 💯
