If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

If you're having trouble getting through to NYS Department of Labor to ask questions about your benefit amount, I found this service called Claimyr that helps you actually reach a real person at the unemployment office. They have a website at claimyr.com and there's a demo video at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. I was stuck trying to get answers about my weekly benefit calculation for weeks before using them.

Interesting, I might need that if I run into issues. The NYS Department of Labor phone system seems impossible to navigate.

The system is so confusing!! I filed 2 weeks ago and still don't know exactly what I'll get. My account just says pending and there's no clear info about the benefit amount calculation anywhere on their website.

Check your monetary determination notice - it should show your quarterly wages and calculated weekly benefit rate. If you haven't received it yet, it usually comes within 7-10 days of filing.

The NYS Department of Labor system is such a pain honestly. I got fired from my warehouse job for being 'too slow' and it took 6 weeks to get approved. They make you jump through so many hoops even when it's obvious you deserve benefits. But yeah definitely file anyway because you never know.

She should file ASAP and make sure to be completely honest about why she was fired when she does the initial claim. The NYS Department of Labor will investigate and make a determination. If they deny her initially, she can always appeal the decision.

I had similar issues when I filed last year. Honestly the whole process is frustrating because they don't explain things clearly. If you get stuck on any section, I found a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me get through to an actual NYS Department of Labor agent. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Way easier than trying to call yourself and getting busy signals for hours.

Thanks, I'll check that out if I can't get through on my own.

just fill it out as best you can and submit it. they'll contact you if they need more info. better to get it in the system than overthink every detail

THIS SYSTEM IS SO FRUSTRATING!! Why can't they just send us a clear notice with our end date?? I've been stressed about this for weeks and had to figure it out myself by counting backwards from my claim start date. NYS Department of Labor needs to do better with communication!

seriously! i shouldnt have to do math to figure out when my benefits end

You should be able to see your claim end date somewhere in your my.ny.gov account. Check under the claim details section. Mine showed both my benefit year end date and when I'd hit 26 weeks.

I'll look for that - I might have missed it in all the confusing information on that site.

be careful with this stuff... the government loves to find new ways to take your money. i'd say skip it unless you're really worried about your business failing

That's not really accurate. Elective coverage is voluntary and can provide valuable protection. It's an insurance policy, not a money grab.

Just to add - if you do elect coverage, you need to file the application within 30 days of starting your business, or within 30 days of deciding you want coverage. Don't wait too long to make this decision!
