Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. The waiting period thing is confusing - you still need to file weekly claims during that first week even though you won't get paid for it. I almost missed filing my first weekly claim because I thought I could skip it since it was unpaid.
Exactly right - you must file every weekly claim starting from your first eligible week, even the unpaid waiting week. Missing that first weekly claim can delay your entire benefit timeline.

Look, the system is set up to deny benefits to people who quit, period. They'll find any excuse to say you didn't have good enough cause. I've seen people with documented harassment get denied because they didn't follow some bureaucratic procedure. If you absolutely have to quit, make sure you have rock solid documentation and even then be prepared to fight for months.
