It's probably because of Labor Day. Holidays often mess up their processing schedule even though they never admit it. I bet it posts by Friday.
this is actually a good point! i totally forgot about the holiday
This is so frustrating! I had a similar issue a few weeks ago where my payment just vanished into thin air after certifying. Turns out there was a "technical glitch" on their end (their words, not mine). I ended up having to call multiple times before someone could actually see what happened in their system. The first few agents I talked to basically just told me to "wait and see" but the last one actually dug deeper and found that my payment got stuck in some kind of processing queue. She was able to manually release it and I got my money within 2 days. Don't let them brush you off - keep pushing for an actual explanation of what's going on with your specific claim. And definitely document everything like others have suggested. Good luck! 🤞
This gives me hope! I'm definitely going to keep calling until someone actually looks into it properly. It's crazy how inconsistent the agents are - some actually help while others just give you the runaround. Thanks for sharing your experience! Did they give you any explanation for why it got stuck in the first place?
Just to add some clarity on the timeline - while employers do have that initial 10-day window to respond to the Notice of Claim, they're not locked out after that period. They can file protests or provide additional information pretty much throughout the entire claims process, and even appeal favorable decisions later. However, the good news is that with clear documentation of a layoff due to restructuring plus severance, you're in a really strong position. Most employers only aggressively fight claims when they believe there was misconduct or a voluntary quit situation. Keep that severance paperwork handy and try not to stress too much - legitimate layoffs with proper documentation rarely get successfully overturned, even if the employer does decide to contest it later.
This really helps put things in perspective! I was getting anxious thinking my employer might suddenly come up with some reason to dispute my claim weeks down the line, but hearing that legitimate layoffs with proper documentation rarely get overturned is reassuring. The fact that they provided severance and specifically stated it was due to restructuring in the paperwork should work in my favor. I'll keep all the documentation organized and try to relax a bit - sounds like I'm in a much better position than I was worried about. Thanks for the peace of mind!
I went through something similar a few months ago - got laid off from a tech company that was downsizing. The waiting and uncertainty about whether they'd dispute was honestly the worst part! In my case, my employer never contested it at all, which seems to be pretty common with legitimate layoffs. The NYS DOL processed my claim smoothly once they verified the layoff reason with my employer. Since you have that severance documentation explicitly stating restructuring as the reason, you're in a really good spot. Most employers only fight claims when they think they can win (like if someone was fired for misconduct), and your situation doesn't sound like that at all. The fact that they gave you severance actually works in your favor - companies don't usually give severance to people they're planning to claim were terminated for cause. Just keep checking your claim status regularly and you should be fine!
That's exactly what I needed to hear! The waiting and uncertainty really is the worst part - I keep checking my claim status obsessively. It's really reassuring to know that legitimate layoffs usually go through without issues and that the severance actually helps my case rather than complicating it. I hadn't thought about it that way, but you're absolutely right that companies don't give severance to people they plan to claim were fired for misconduct. Thanks for sharing your experience - it helps so much to hear from someone who went through the same thing successfully!
I'm having the exact same issue! Certified Sunday afternoon and it's now Tuesday with nothing showing in my payment history. This is really nerve-wracking because I've been collecting since last year and never had a delay this long. I've tried logging out/in, different browsers, even checked on my phone - still nothing. The fact that multiple people are experiencing this makes me think it might be a system-wide glitch rather than individual account issues. Really hoping it's just delayed processing and not something more serious. Has anyone who certified Sunday actually received their payment yet or seen it show up in their history?
Same exact situation here! Certified Sunday around noon and it's Tuesday evening with absolutely nothing in my payment history. I've been on unemployment since August and this has never happened before - usually shows up by Monday night at the latest. Tried all the usual fixes (different browsers, clearing cache, logging out/in) and still nothing. Really glad to see I'm not alone in this because I was starting to panic that something was wrong with my account specifically. Fingers crossed it's just a system-wide processing delay and we'll all see our payments tomorrow! 🤞
This is actually happening to a lot of people this week! I certified Sunday evening and mine just showed up about an hour ago (Tuesday night). It seems like there's definitely some kind of system-wide delay - I've seen posts on other forums too with people having the same issue. Don't panic yet! I'd give it until tomorrow afternoon before trying to call. The NY system has been extra glitchy lately, probably due to high volume or backend updates. Keep checking throughout the day tomorrow - mine literally just appeared out of nowhere without any pending status.
I went through this EXACT same thing last month and it was so frustrating! Completed my ID.me verification and then sat there for 11 days watching absolutely nothing happen. Like everyone else is saying, you definitely need to call - the systems don't sync automatically which is completely ridiculous. I used that fraud department number (888-598-2077) that @Diego Vargas mentioned and got through in about 50 minutes, which was way better than the regular line. The rep told me they have to manually review every single ID.me case because of all the fraud issues they're dealing with. She was able to release my payments right there on the call and I had the money in my account within 2 business days. Don't wait any longer - 8 days is definitely long enough! And I totally feel you on the aunt situation - my mom was doing the same thing asking me every day and it just added so much extra stress. Sometimes I think the constant questions are worse than actually waiting for the money 😅 That fraud line is definitely your best bet for ID verification issues. The regular unemployment number is basically useless for this type of problem. Good luck and hopefully you get it sorted out quickly!
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's really reassuring to hear that so many people have had success with that fraud department number. I'm definitely going to try calling tomorrow morning - 50 minutes sounds way more manageable than the horror stories I've heard about the regular line. And you're so right about family members making it worse! I swear my aunt thinks asking me about it every day is somehow going to speed up the process. It's like having a constant reminder of how broken the system is. Really appreciate everyone who shared that fraud department number - seems like that's the real solution here!
I'm going through this exact same nightmare right now! Just completed my ID.me verification 6 days ago and still stuck in limbo waiting for NY unemployment to release my payments. It's so frustrating seeing "verified" in the ID.me portal but absolutely nothing changing on the unemployment side. After reading through all these responses, I'm definitely calling that fraud department number (888-598-2077) tomorrow morning. Seems like everyone who tried it had way better success than the regular unemployment line. It's ridiculous that they don't automatically sync the systems or at least send us an email explaining that manual review is required after ID.me verification. And don't even get me started on well-meaning family members asking "did the money come through yet?" every single day - it's like having a constant reminder of how broken this whole process is! Thanks for posting this question because all the advice in the comments has been incredibly helpful. Fingers crossed that fraud department call works out!
I'm in the exact same boat! Just did my ID.me verification 4 days ago and already going crazy waiting. It's so helpful to see everyone's experiences here - definitely gives me confidence that calling that fraud department number is the right move. The fact that multiple people got through in under an hour and got their payments released immediately is exactly what I needed to hear. And YES to the family thing - why do they think asking about it constantly is going to help?? 😠Going to call tomorrow too and hopefully we both get this sorted out quickly!

@Atticus Domingo don't stress too much about it! I had the exact same thing happen to me last month during a holiday weekend. The "recorded on system" message is actually a good sign - it means your certification went through properly. Since you certified yesterday and today is the day after Palm Sunday, you're probably looking at Tuesday night or Wednesday morning for the deposit to hit your account. The DOL systems don't process payments on holidays or weekends, so there's always that 1-2 day lag. Your claim details look solid - 74 days remaining and $504 weekly is a good amount. Just keep checking your account and it should show up soon. If it doesn't appear by Thursday, that's when I'd start to worry and maybe give them a call.
