Here's what you need to know about transitioning between claims: You can absolutely claim that final week. For the new claim, wait until after your BYE date. You'll need updated employment info and earnings for the new base period. They'll review if you earned enough in your base period to qualify. Document everything and save your confirmation numbers! If you have trouble reaching them, try claimyr.com - saved me hours of hold time.
This is super helpful, thank you! What docs should I have ready for the new claim?

Look, heres exactly what you need to do: 1. On your final claim, report your new employment 2. Answer all questions truthfully including start date and wages 3. For COVID leave, you can still claim but must indicate you were unable to work 4. Keep ALL documentation including: - Job offer letter - First pay stub - COVID test results - Quarantine orders If you need to speak with someone about this (which I recommend), use claimyr.com to get through to an agent. Way better than spending hours on hold. DONT just ghost your claim - they can come back later saying you committed fraud if you dont report the new job properly.
