If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

If you're having trouble reaching NYS Department of Labor to get clarification on your denial, I had success using a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me get through to an actual agent. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. I was stuck trying to call for weeks about my adjudication issue and this got me connected within a day. Might be worth checking out to get answers about your denial reason.

Thanks, I'll look into that. I've been trying to call all morning with no luck.

Don't give up! I got denied initially too but won my appeal. Make sure you gather all your pay stubs and employment records. The hearing officer will want to see proof of your work history and earnings. Even if the timeline seems tight, there might be other factors in your favor.

I had no idea they offered training programs! I've been struggling to get through to anyone at NYS Department of Labor to ask about this stuff. The phone lines are always busy and when I do get through they just hang up on me. Has anyone found a better way to reach them?

0 coins

That sounds too good to be true but I'm desperate at this point. Did they actually help you connect or is it just another scam?

0 coins

No it's legit. I was skeptical too but it actually worked. Much better than spending hours on hold just to get disconnected.

Beyond claims processing, they maintain the state job bank, conduct labor market research, investigate benefit fraud, provide employer services for hiring, and manage federal grant programs for workforce development. They're also responsible for UI tax collection from employers and maintaining employment statistics.

If you're having trouble reaching NYS Department of Labor to clarify any of these technical details, I had success using a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me get through to an actual agent. They have a demo video at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Really came in handy when I needed to verify some claim details that weren't clear from the online system.

Thanks for the suggestion! I might check that out if I run into any other confusing terminology or issues with my claim.

I've been dealing with unemployment for months and honestly there's so much confusing jargon and acronyms. EAN, UI, adjudication, standby status... they really don't make it easy to understand what's going on with your own claim sometimes. At least this one doesn't seem to matter much for regular claimants.

0 coins

Just remember that if there are any issues with your claim it might go into adjudication which means they need to review something before approving you. This can add weeks to the process unfortunately. Common reasons include questions about why you left your job or if you're able and available to work.

0 coins

What does able and available mean exactly? I can work but I'm being picky about what jobs I'll take.

0 coins

Able and available means you're physically and mentally capable of working and willing to accept suitable employment. Being too picky about job offers can disqualify you from benefits.

0 coins

good luck with the whole process, it's a nightmare but at least you get some money while looking for work. just don't expect it to be easy or fast

0 coins

don't forget about people with disabilities... they face extra barriers and often get overlooked in these discussions but unemployment hits them really hard too

0 coins

Another group that faces significant challenges are workers without high school diplomas or GED certificates. Many employers now require at least a high school education even for entry-level positions that didn't require it years ago. These individuals often exhaust their unemployment benefits before finding suitable employment and may need to consider educational programs while claiming benefits.

0 coins

That's a really good point about education requirements changing. Do you know if NYS Department of Labor has programs to help people get their GED while collecting benefits?
