When does PATH Act hold end for EITC/ACTC refunds in 2025?
Filed my taxes with EITC and child tax credit. Anyone know exactly when the PATH act hold gets lifted? Keep hearing different dates and I need this refund badly.

The PATH Act hold lifts in mid-February, typically around February 15th. The IRS is required by law to hold all EITC/ACTC refunds until this date to prevent fraud. Even after the hold lifts, it usually takes a few more days for banks to process the deposits. Most people see their refunds hit their accounts between Feb 17-22.

Its usually a rolling release over several days, not all at once. Bank processing times vary too
