PATH Act refund timing - accepted 1/27, when can I expect my EITC refund?

The PATH Act requires the IRS to hold all EITC/ACTC refunds until mid-February. For 2025, the earliest the IRS will begin releasing these refunds is February 15th. Adding the standard processing time of 5-7 business days for your bank, Feb 21-23 is historically accurate. The timeline should remain consistent with previous years.

Just remember that the Where's My Refund tool might not update until after Feb 15th due to PATH. Don't panic if it shows no progress!

Does anyone know if the shutdown stuff is gonna affect PATH refunds this year??

Called IRS yesterday and got told the same thing - Feb 15th is still the magic date. But ya know how reliable their phone info is 🙄
