Still Stuck on PATH Act Hold for EITC/ACTC? Anyone Else?

Is anyone else besides me still on PATH Act hold for EITC/ACTC processing? Filed my 1040 with Schedule EIC on Feb 2nd and transcript still shows PATH hold code 570. My spouse's military orders have us relocating next month and we're counting on that refund. Anyone know the current estimated processing timeframe for PATH Act returns? Lol

I'm seeing quite a few people still dealing with PATH delays... It's concerning because technically most PATH Act holds should have been released by mid-February. The IRS is supposed to start processing these returns after February 15th, but it seems like there might be some additional verification processes happening this year. Have you checked your account transcript for any specific codes besides the 570?

What's the difference between the 570 code and the 971 code that sometimes appears with it? Does having both indicate a longer processing time for PATH Act returns?

Anyone else find it funny how the PATH Act was supposed to reduce fraud but just makes honest taxpayers wait longer? ๐Ÿ˜‚ My return has been sitting with code 570 for 32 days now. Any idea if calling actually helps move things along?

Think of the PATH Act like a traffic jam on a highway - everyone with EITC/ACTC is stuck at the same toll booth waiting to get through. I was in the same position last year, worried sick about my refund. Then suddenly on March 22nd, everything updated at once and my deposit arrived 3 days later. The system is designed to process everyone at roughly the same time, so patience is unfortunately your best strategy right now.

I'm in the same boat with PATH Act delays. Filed on January 29th with EITC, and still waiting. Don't you wonder if the IRS prioritizes certain returns over others? Or if there's some mysterious algorithm that determines processing order? I've noticed that simpler returns without credits seem to process much faster, but that doesn't help those of us who qualify for these important credits, does it?

They definitely prioritize. Simple W-2 only returns first. EITC/ACTC next. Schedule C business returns last. Been that way for years. System not first-come-first-served.

OMG u need to try Claimyr asap! I was stuck in PATH limbo for 42 days and couldn't get thru to IRS at all. Used Claimyr (https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c) and got connected to an agent in like 15 mins instead of waiting on hold 4ever. The agent confirmed my return was just in normal PATH processing queue and gave me actual timeframe. Worth every penny esp if ur relocating soon and need that $$ for the move!

The PATH Act delay is really concerning this year! I'm seeing more people stuck longer than usual. The official line is that the IRS should process these returns starting February 15th, but many are still waiting well into March. I'm worried this might affect millions of taxpayers who depend on these refunds for essential expenses! Has anyone received their EITC/ACTC refund who filed early February?

I've been tracking my PATH Act return carefully. For those who received their refunds already, did you notice any pattern in how your transcript updated? Did you get a 571 code first, or did it go straight to 846 for the refund issued date?

This is my first time claiming EITC and I had no idea about all these special rules! How long should I expect to wait compared to my previous returns? Is there anything I can do to speed things up?

After being stuck on PATH for 37 days, I finally found clarity using https://taxr.ai to analyze my transcript. According to IRC ยง6402(m) and the PATH Act provisions, EITC/ACTC returns undergo mandatory additional verification. The taxr.ai analysis showed me exactly which verification stage my return was in based on my transcript codes and gave me a predicted refund date that was accurate to within 2 days. Such a relief to finally understand what was happening!

I'm a bit hesitant about using third-party services for something as sensitive as tax information... Has anyone verified if this is actually safe? Do they store your transcript data?

From what I've seen across multiple tax seasons, PATH Act returns typically follow this timeline: Filed before Feb 15 โ†’ Processing begins after Feb 15 โ†’ Most refunds issued between Feb 27-March 30, with the majority coming in the first two weeks of March. If you're still waiting now, you're in that final batch that requires slightly more verification. Hang in there!

I've been tracking PATH delays for 3 tax seasons now. Last year I received my refund on March 18th after filing January 31st. This year I filed January 29th and still waiting. The pattern seems consistent - about 45-50 days total for PATH returns.

My sister filed same day as me (Feb 1) with identical income situation but different tax preparer. She got her refund 2 weeks ago while I'm still waiting. How does that make ANY sense??
