When does PATH Act hold end for 2024 EITC/ACTC claims?

Filed my taxes with EITC last week and wondering when exactly the PATH Act hold gets lifted. Getting different answers everywhere I look. Some say Feb 15th others say Feb 27th. Anyone know the real date we can expect movement on our refunds?

Tax pro here - The PATH Act hold officially lifts on February 15th, but that doesn't mean you'll see your refund that day. The IRS typically starts releasing EITC/ACTC refunds around February 27th, with most people seeing deposits hit their accounts by March 1st. This timing assumes no other issues with your return.

Unfortunately yes. The IRS needs time to process everything once the hold lifts. They're dealing with millions of returns at once.
