PATH Act - Will test batch filers with EITC get refund earlier than Feb 15?

I was accepted in the test batch for 2023 returns. My return includes EITC and CTC. Anyone know if being in the test batch means we'll get our refund before the PATH act date of Feb 15? Or do we still have to wait like everyone else with credits?

Tax pro here - Unfortunately being in the test batch doesn't exempt you from PATH Act restrictions. The Feb 15th date is hard coded into the IRS systems for ANY return claiming EITC/ACTC, regardless of when it was accepted. The test batch just means your return is in the system early, but processing won't begin until after Feb 15th.

my sister works for IRS and she said test batch just means faster processing AFTER feb 15, but nothing bypasses PATH act period
