When does IRS update transcripts? Are Thursday & Saturday updates real?

Been checking my transcripts daily but getting frustrated. Someone told me updates only happen on Thursdays and Saturdays, but IRS website says daily updates. Anyone know the real deal? Just trying to figure out when I should actually check instead of obsessing every day.

The IRS updates transcripts daily, but major processing cycles typically complete on Wednesday nights/Thursday mornings and Friday nights/Saturday mornings. However, this doesn't mean you'll see changes only on these days - updates can happen any time. The 'daily updates' refer to the system refreshing to show any processed changes, while the Thursday/Saturday pattern relates to larger batch processing cycles.
