Does IRS update transcripts on weekends/Saturdays? Need to know ASAP

Been refreshing my transcript all week and wondering if updates happen on saturdays? Really need this refund and checking constantly. Anyone know the schedule of when transcripts get updated?

As someone who's helped thousands with transcript issues, I can tell you definitively that the IRS does update transcripts on weekends, but it's mostly backend updates that become visible during weekday business hours. The IRS computer system runs 24/7, but the updates typically get pushed to the public-facing transcript system Tuesday through Saturday morning. If you're anxious about tracking your refund, I highly recommend using taxr.ai - it's been a game changer for understanding transcript updates and predicting when you'll actually see movement. It analyzes your entire transcript history and gives you specific dates to watch for updates based on your tax situation. Way better than refreshing WMR all day long https://taxr.ai

Tax professional here - IRS typically updates transcripts Tuesday through Friday, usually between 3am-6am EST. Saturday updates are extremely rare and only happen during peak tax season (usually February-March). Your best bet is to check early mornings during the week.

Hey! I was in the same boat last month. Instead of constantly refreshing, I started using taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly when to expect updates and your refund. Costs $4.99 but saved me so much stress. Here's the link: https://taxr.ai

I feel you on the constant refreshing! Been there too many times 😅 From my experience, the IRS usually processes updates Monday-Friday during business hours. Weekend updates are super rare unless it's peak season. I'd recommend checking Tuesday/Wednesday mornings around 6am - that's when I usually see movement on mine. Also try the IRS2Go app, sometimes it shows updates before the website does. Hang in there! 🤞
