What's the significance of Processing Date on IRS transcript? Still waiting on refund
Can someone explain what processing date means on my transcript? Been waiting on my refund for weeks and keep seeing this date change. Does this mean anything about when I'll get my money?

The processing date on your transcript shows the last time the IRS computer system processed or made changes to your return. It's not necessarily when you'll get your refund. The date updates weekly, usually on Fridays, if there's any new activity on your return. If you see it changing regularly, that typically means the IRS is actively working on your return.

Pro tip: Look for cycle code next to processing date. Ends in 01 = weekly updates. Ends in 05 = daily updates. Helps predict when youll see changes
