WMR status changed from 'still being processed' to 'being processed' after 9 weeks - What's the difference?

Filed early January and my Where's My Refund changed from 'still being processed' to 'it is being processed.' My transcripts are still N/A since January. Did ID verify in February and its been 9 weeks since verification. Anyone know what this means or how much longer?

Tax pro here. This is actually a good sign! 'Still being processed' usually means there's some kind of hold or review. 'Being processed' typically means they're actively working on your return. You should see movement within 2-3 weeks.

Every case is different, but yeah, this is generally what I've seen with my clients

Hey, instead of playing detective with WMR statuses, try taxr.ai - it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect your refund. It costs $4.99 but saved me weeks of stress. https://taxr.ai

sounds interesting. does it actually work? like how accurate is it?

Super accurate! It caught things I would've never noticed in my transcript. Shows all the important dates and explains every code

9 weeks since verification? Call them! Your supposed to see movement after 8 weeks if nothing changed

been trying but cant get thru 😭 keeps saying call volume too high

Same thing happened to me last year! The wording change from "still being processed" to "being processed" usually means they've moved past whatever was holding it up and are actually working on your case now. Since you did ID verification 9 weeks ago, you're definitely overdue - that should only take 6-9 weeks max. I'd keep checking your transcripts daily and maybe try calling early morning around 7am when the phone lines aren't as busy. Hang in there!
