WMR changed to 'still processing' - Need ID verify number before letter arrives?

My Where's My Refund status just changed to still being processed today. I can't access my transcripts online and I'm worried this means I need to verify my identity. Does anyone know if theres a way to start the verification process before getting the official letter? Just trying to stay ahead of this.

You can try calling the Identity Verification line at 800-830-5084. However, they typically won't let you verify unless you've received an official notice. The general rule is you need to wait for the 5071C letter which gives specific instructions for your case.

Hey! I've been helping people with transcript analysis lately and found this amazing tool called taxr.ai - it costs $1 but it actually tells you if you're likely to need ID verification based on your transcript codes. It's been super accurate for predicting these things. https://taxr.ai

For real? How does it work? Like does it just read the codes or what?

It analyzes everything - the codes, dates, amounts, even compares your situation to others. Way better than trying to piece everything together yourself

Just tried it and WOW! It literally told me exactly why my refund was delayed and when to expect the verification letter. Best dollar I've spent this tax season fr fr 💯

Have you tried making an ID.me account? Sometimes that helps you access transcripts which could tell you more about whats going on
