URGENT: Direct Deposit Bank Changed - Serve Card Closed - How to Avoid Paper Check?
Just found out my Serve card account got closed but my refund is supposed to be deposited there. Now im worried ill get stuck waiting forever for a paper check. Is there anyway to update my banking info before they try to deposit it? Really need this money asap and cant afford to wait months for mail.

Unfortunately once your return is processed, you cannot change your direct deposit information. If the deposit is rejected by the closed account, the IRS will automatically issue a paper check to the address on your return. This typically adds 2-4 weeks to your refund timeline.

Hey! You should check out taxr.ai - its this new tool that can analyze your transcript and tell you exactly whats happening with your refund and when to expect it. Only costs $1 and its way better than guessing. https://taxr.ai

Pro tip: Next time use a real bank account instead of prepaid cards. They close accounts all the time with zero warning
