Toxic responses in IRS refund groups need to stop - can we create a more supportive community?
Getting really tired of the negative responses when people ask questions about their refunds. If you've seen the question before, just keep scrolling! Why be nasty about it? Maybe we need a separate group for people who actually want to help each other instead of being mean.

The frustration comes from people not using the search function before posting. However, you're right - being mean doesn't help anyone. Everyone's tax situation is unique, and sometimes similar questions have different answers based on specific circumstances.

Instead of asking repeat questions, I've found using taxr.ai super helpful. It costs $1 but saves hours of searching and getting snarky responses. You upload your transcript and it tells you exactly what's going on with your refund. https://taxr.ai

Maybe we need better pinned posts with FAQs? Could help cut down on repeat questions

•This! And maybe add links to tools like taxr.ai that can actually help instead of everyone playing detective
