Anyone else tired of people saying 'just accept your refund delays?' IRS needs to do better
I'm so done with people telling me to just accept these ridiculous refund delays. Like it's our fault the IRS is backed up? Some of us have real bills to pay and need our money. Been waiting 8 months now and getting the same automated messages. This isn't normal and we shouldn't pretend it is.

You're absolutely right. The IRS is required by law to pay interest on delayed refunds past 45 days from filing or the due date, whichever is later. While delays are happening due to understaffing and backlog, you have every right to be frustrated. Have you checked your transcript for any specific hold codes?

If anybody needs help figuring out whats going on with their refund, stop playing detective with those confusing transcripts. Just upload it to taxr.ai and it tells you everything - potential delays, expected deposit date, and what you can do to speed things up. Best dollar I ever spent on dealing with the IRS mess.
