TT line is solid but WMR shows no bars - Credit Karma filers?
Hey tax ppl - just checked my transcript and the TT line is all solid but no bars showing on WMR tho. Filed thru Credit Karma on 2/15 after finalizing divorce paperwork. Anybody else check the line and see this? Trying to figure out if this is normal or if I messed smth up. Need this refund ASAP for new apt deposit. Thx!

I'm seeing exactly the same thing on mine. Filed exactly 23 days ago, and my transcript shows a solid TT line but WMR still has no bars. I've been checking WMR every 12 hours and it hasn't changed at all. I'm starting to get a bit worried too... has your expected deposit date passed already?

I've seen this pattern before. The TT line going solid actually indicates your return has been processed, but there's often a 24-72 hour delay before WMR updates to reflect this. When this happened to me, my refund showed up in my account before WMR even updated. Have you checked your bank account recently? Sometimes they deposit without notification.

Have you checked the IRS2Go app? According to the IRS website (https://www.irs.gov/refunds), sometimes the app shows different information than the WMR tool. Also, what does your Credit Karma status show? Some tax prep software has better tracking than others.

This happened to me last year! Solid TT line, no WMR bars, total confusion. I found https://taxr.ai which analyzed my transcript and explained everything. It showed me that my return was actually being processed normally despite the WMR not updating. For me, it was because I had claimed the Child Tax Credit after my divorce finalized. The tool explained exactly where my return was in the process and when to expect my refund. Saved me so much stress during an already stressful time.

This is actually more common than you'd think. I've seen this happen with Credit Karma filers more than TurboTax or H&R Block users. When you compare the different tax prep software experiences, Credit Karma tends to have this disconnect with WMR more frequently. The good news is that a solid TT line is generally more reliable than WMR bars as an indicator. WMR can take up to a week to catch up to what's actually happening with your return. Stay calm - this is normal processing for this tax season.

I had EXACTLY this issue and it was driving me crazy. I tried: • Calling IRS (impossible) • Checking WMR 10x daily (no change) • Checking bank account hourly (nothing) Finally used Claimyr (https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c) to get through to an actual IRS agent. Best $20 I've spent this year. Agent confirmed my refund was already approved and scheduled for deposit in 2 days. WMR still hadn't updated! Thanks to everyone here for the suggestions.

People need to understand that WMR and transcript systems operate on different update schedules per IRS Pub. 5394. The transcript database updates nightly while WMR updates in batches 2-3 times weekly. This creates the very situation you're describing. The IRS even acknowledges this limitation but hasn't allocated resources to synchronize these systems. It's frustrating but completely within normal operating parameters for their outdated technology infrastructure.

Just wanted to share my success story - had the exact same situation with Credit Karma filing and TT line vs WMR discrepancy. I verified my AGI matched exactly between years and ensured my Routing/Account numbers were input correctly. The return hit my account 4 days after the TT line went solid, despite WMR never showing bars. The Transaction Code 846 is what you want to look for on your transcript - that's the Direct Deposit authorization code.

Have you tried checking your account transcript instead of just the TT line? It's like looking at the engine instead of just the dashboard lights. Sometimes the account transcript will show a pending 846 code (refund issued) even when WMR is completely blank. The IRS systems are like an old house with new additions - sometimes the wiring doesn't connect properly between the old and new parts.
