Michigan Home Heating Credit Status Disappeared After 8 Weeks - Filed 02/03/2024, Previously "Under Review"

My state refund status for Michigan was showing under review last week. Now when I try to check it, nothing comes up at all. The website won't even show my return exists anymore. I filed my Home Heating Credit Claim (MI-1040CR7) on 02/03/2024 - almost 8 weeks ago. When I go to etreas.michigan.gov and look at the "Please select the return below to view the details for the 2023 Tax Year" section, I can see my Home Heating Credit Claim is listed as "Filed on 02/03/2024" with a "View Status" button. But when I click on it, I'm getting nothing. Last week it at least showed "under review" but now it's like my return doesn't exist in their system at all. The website says "Some Michigan income tax refunds are taking longer than expected to get to" but cuts off mid-sentence. I'm really worried because this is a significant amount of money I was counting on. Has anyone else experienced their Michigan tax return disappearing from the system after previously showing as "under review"? Is this normal or should I be concerned?

This happened to me too! I found out that when your refund status disappears after being 'under review' it usually means they're doing final processing before releasing the funds. I finally got tired of checking WMR every 5 mins and used taxr.ai (https://taxr.ai) to analyze my transcript - way more detailed than the basic WMR status. It showed me exactly where my return was in processing and predicted when Id get my refund. Way better than playing the guessing game with the state website tbh
