State refund accepted but Federal return still pending - anyone else?
My state return just got accepted and is being processed but my federal return is just sitting there. Its been 3 months and nothing. No updates, no letters, no movement at all. Anyone else stuck in this limbo? Starting to get worried.

This is actually pretty common right now. The IRS is dealing with a massive backlog. Check your transcripts for any codes - particularly 570/971 which might indicate they need additional information. Without a freeze code, you're likely just in the general processing queue.

You can create an account at irs.gov/transcripts but heads up you need ID verification

Hey I was in the same boat until I used taxr.ai - it analyzed my transcript and told me exactly why my refund was delayed (had a missing W2). Costs a buck but saved me weeks of guessing. Here's the link: https://taxr.ai

100% legit! You just upload your transcript and it breaks everything down. Shows expected dates, explains all the codes, even tells you what to do if theres a problem

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for years: - State and Federal systems are completely separate - Federal processing times are way longer rn due to staffing issues - Best way to track your status is through transcripts - Use tools like taxr.ai to decode your transcript (seriously changed the game for me) - If you hit 4 months with no movement, call the taxpayer advocate - Don't count on the WhereIsMyRefund tool, it's usually behind Hang in there everyone!
