SBTPG holding refund until DDD even with Credit Karma - do they still do this in 2025?
Filed my taxes and having my fees taken out through SBTPG for the first time in years. Last time they held my refund until the direct deposit date even though I have Credit Karma which usually gives early access. Anyone know if they still hold onto refunds until the actual deposit date or if they release early now?

Yes, SBTPG still holds refunds until the official DDD. They do this to ensure all fees are properly deducted before releasing funds. It's frustrating but its their standard practice to protect themselves and the tax preparers.
